Just a Note....
For some reason...  even though many users have apparently NOT Changed anything in confg - the entire "No Block source available" issue seems to have been going on for Multiple platforms, and Multiple types of wallets... including Master coin, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and others.  This has been happening since at least Sep. 2013.  Even though the 'addnodes' and other fixes like changing the ports
i.e. to 9150 instead of 9050 etc etc.   SEEM to sometimes work.  (... I personally NOW think it's coincidence that these FIXES seem to work.  Since I tried one of these fixes at the same time someone else did on the east coast... theirs WORKED mine did not.)
also... I've had the same problems on Win 7 as well as PinguyOS and from Bitcoin and Masterchest and others.
Some cross platform even seem to stop at the exact same blocks.  The other day numerous people in Masterchest had the "no Block Source available across the USA at least and were all behind by 27 hours....
I don't know what it is but I am still baffled.  Mine suddenly started working again with NO help!  and NO reinstall.
Stuck at "behind by 27 hours" and then suddenly .... all caught up! (one stuck was after completely rebuilding a 23 gig+ data base for RPCaccess... worked right up to 27 hours behind then STOPPED.

Forestearth:  I had the same problem.  Your issue I believe has been answered - you may be encountering a different issue because
I simply followed the "answer" to your problem which is listed here multiple times.  I seems to have worked.
navigate to the help - tab then choose debug window
then choose console
and in the text window at the bottom type the following lines one at a time followed by enter:
addnode 168.63.12.227:80 add
addnode 168.63.12.227:80 onetry
addnode 94.23.215.174 add
addnode 94.23.215.174 onetry
After that go to the mining option and choose your mining option.  The miner should now show up in color
and hovering over it will let you know the connections and collision rate.
cheers  (i still have to try multiple times to get through this site's captcha which is very difficult to read OR hear...)
thanks

I have the Protoshares wallet v0.8.5.0-unk-beta running
and using your console entries it is now synching.
However I am wondering If I should still install the New wallet .zip you posted?
and if so...  (if answer is YES)
then  i echo another user who states they cannot find a way to UN-INSTALL the first version.
I see it no where.
Any suggestions?
ALSO... PLEASE find a NEW CAPTCHA version...
this one REALLY is difficult even when listening...

thanks

Keyhotee / Re: Introducing Keyhotee Video
« on: December 08, 2013, 11:10:23 am »
Daniel Larimer isn't just making some assertions re:  Keyhotee in the sense we normally think of assertions.  The beauty is in the fact that the vision Keyhotee and DAC encompasses is really only the tip of the ice-berg of what the power of the Blockchain can actually mean for the future of basic freedoms for humans now tied completely to technology.  we can be empowered again and reclaim our ownership of our own identities.  He has simply more fully understood the Blockchain's true potential scope and the implications for taking back our basic liberties through the safeguarding of our personal lives.  The current state of affairs is because our technology was steps ahead of our understanding as a society of why and how we needed to safeguard such basic things as our identities, communications, commerce and trade.  Places like Amazon - in fact ALL companies globally will of necessity almost certainly be compelled to use such a simple yet elegant means to transact the business of the future - in terms of money, trade, communication and commerce.  Does anyone honestly think (in light of the ongoing constant revelations of of NSA spying etc) and the many other infractions of Plutocrats, Oligarchs or kleptocrats, Hackers and (fill in the blank)- that the internet will be able to continue business as usual indefinitely?  A new more foolproof system will have to eventually be adopted.  This is the best choice yet and there will likely be many others based on similar ideas.  But the complexity of the blockchain (mathematically speaking for humans without the benefit of large Cray computers at their disposal) make this very likely the new method of choice.  This would be my opinion.
