Quick question from the Chinese community :
How will a UK guy who is only 25 years old get on-ramp done in Argentina ?
Wouldn't it be far-fetched as a 25 year old Chinese guy claiming he want to get on-ramp done in Africa ?
what's the law in Argentina ?
Is it legal to host a Bitcoin fiat trading platform ? Are there any yet ?
What are their trading volumes ?

Very well thought out plan. This is the future of delegates.
Rushing for a 100% delegate is not good for BTS.
We maybe need set some threshold of 100% paid delegates .
I just want to add that in terms of division of my time, writing articles will be the single largest part, probably taking around 50% of my time. In the first month I will have a bunch of articles written and probably probably published (in the English speaking market), which can be evaluated by shareholders who want to decide whether to keep the 100% pay rate going.

So you will write these articles for only 200 USD per month?
How many articles would you propose to write in six months? And where would you post/publish them?
I like your plans of marketing, they seem very promising.
Methox is running a 100% payrate delegate, and it seems Methox has planned a lot of promoting activities, but he is still in the stage of ability proving, instead of results enjoying. So I doubt the community would agree to support two "unconfirmed" marketing teams at the same time, given the overlaps of your plan with Methox's.
Why don't you join his team first, and prove your ability there. What you asked (200USD per month) is just a small portion of Methox's income, I think he will welcome you. If in future, we really need more marketing teams, you may start a new team by then.
FYI :)

Just forwarding some info from the Chinese community .
They love the guy who was doing the mobile wallet .
And he also runs a local crypto platform in Argentina .
Also , your proposal states that nearly all of the spending are dedicated to Argentina promoting .
So , is it possible to team up with him and apply for one delegate ? (big percentage income for him to continue the wallet and get things done there )
Since he already got the advantage , I think he would be more suitable than anyone you're working with in Argentina . (you need more than translator , you need people on the field ) .

I've contacted him and waiting to hear more. I agree a partnership would be great. I wasn't aware he wanted a delegate position, I thought he was making the wallet for the benefit of Latincoin.com + Argentinian people. What this great development tells me is this Argentinian focused campaign is needed more urgently than I expected. I need to get voted in immediately to have funds to develop the bitUSD portal, otherwise there wont be anything to promote.

experience tells me a site like Latincoin.com is the best candidate to work with since they know how things are actually in there (living in it and doing business in it are two different thing ) .

Matt,
No offence.
I hate to say this but being a high pay rate delegate means getting hired by a DAC, you gotta prove yourself before asking for votes. Posting on forum is easy but developing business is another thing.
Do something, show the community your talent. Then things may get more easier.

Dear community,
My name is Matias Romeo and together with Pablo Tutino we are both cofounders of Latincoin.com.
We are based in Buenos Aires (Argentina) working from the "Bitcoin Center Buenos Aires" (aka: Bitcoin Embassy)
As many of you know the current situation in our country is one of a big opportunity for bitUSD, and seeing that the mobile wallet for bitshares is lagging behind we decided to do our contribution and started the development of a mobile bitasset wallet.
We think that Argentina has a lot of potential for the daily use of bitUSD and we have a lot of efforts going on in that sense that hope to release soon.
Yeah I like the enthusiasm and I'm the biggest supporter of Argentina based initiatives
I also really liked your efforts here http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/2nouij/make_2500_a_month_being_one_of_the_first_persons/
It's a reasonable plan but I probably wouldn't vote for this at this stage though. The guys below look much better placed for the initiative and I don't think a young, English, UK based 100% pay-rate marketing delegate is going to add more value than Spanish guys based in the country, who have started and advertised a Bitcoin website and have some technical ability.Dear community,

killer feature request:
- scan private key QR codes!!!!
that enables easy to use cold storage!
- Have amazing bitUSD portal on bitusd.com.ar complete with video.
quick question : what is bitUSD portal ?
and on-ramp and off-ramp for bitusd with fiat ?
Or an information portal on bitusd ?
How much time have you spent in Argentina? matt608
Argentina is ripe for BitUSD. We must take advantage of this momentum and fund a marketing campaign there.
The wallet guys are doing excellent work. If funded as a delegate, they will be working primarily on that wallet, not on marketing. Therefore, deciding between voting for the wallet guys or for Matt608 is a false dilemma. Do not vote for the wallet guys INSTEAD of Matt608, because they will be doing different work. We need them both.
Matt608 can direct funds to marketing BitShares and BitUSD in Argentina. With its economic problems and massive inflation rate, Argentina could be the first great market for BitUSD. It won't happen if we don't make this investment NOW.
I hereby endorse argentina-marketing.matt608. I will vote for him and I hope you'll consider doing so also. Remember, your vote is not permanent and you are welcome to change it later; Matt608 must show positive results if he wants to keep your vote. Right now, our Argentina marketing needs a shot in the arm. Matt608 and his partners can provide that.
Join me in voting for argentina-marketing.matt608.

I could not have said it better...so I will use those words as mine. Argentina is a great place for us to try to grow our product. I believe Matt608 is our best shot at the moment to accomplish this. Will he succeed? - I hope so, I can not guarantee it but not using him will be a much bigger mistake than using him and failing.
In short I am voting for him. Please consider doing the same.
Please everyone vote for matt608.
We need many good marketing proposals like this one.
Our short term goals are:
- Evangelize the Argentina Bitcoin community.
- Use the existing Bitcoin infrastructure to convert ARS<=>bitUSD.
Hello guys, it's awesome seeing so much interest about Argentina!
I had been following this awesome community since almost a year, but I was only active on bitcointalk forum.[1] I now think it's time to take actively part of this great project.
For almost two years I had been participating in the organization of meetups here in Buenos Aires [2], which now are mostly being done at least monthly in the new Bitcoin Embassy along with other events.
We are also in the making on a Civil Association so we can have a legal framework behind us (more news about this soon :).
We were talking just this weekend with Matias (ElMato) about making some local work toward marketing, and that particularly a Bitshares Meetup will be a good start.

Hi, this is a question for you or Elmato. In terms of marketing BitUSD to Argentina...
Do you think Matt's delegate plan is the best approach?
Or do you think we would do better getting another marketing delegate based in Argentina?
Maybe someone already based at the Bitcoin Embassy too, with Argentina + Bitcoin marketing experience to handle marketing and marketing material for Argentina? If so is there anyone you can suggest?

If I may offer my perspective, we should have 3-5 marketing delegates at 100% pay just for targeting the Argentinian market. Far far more has been spent on western markets where cost effectiveness will be lower due to less need for the product. This ratio of western marketing/inflationary economies needs to be corrected. That is why I have stepped up. I would fully support multiple Argentina marketing delegates who presented a solid plan. But lets get this one going first before launching more.
And many thanks for all the votes everyone! :)
This may not be the most productive/valuable use of your time though if we can get Argentinian based talent with Bitcoin contacts and experience.

I agree Argentina is a ripe market. I would like to also hear Matias (ElMato) thoughts if he may have a local contact.
The reason being is that it is hard to sell or convince someone that something is for them when you don't live and interact with the local population.I think we are downplaying the value of having a local with a locals mindset, that will know how to speak to these people because he has lived their lives.
matt608 is a great radio personality and thats his natural talent lets support that, He is all ready great at it, give his show a listen and tell me he isn't good.
Just voted but there is now a note at the bottom of the screen "failure during transaction scanning" my account after voting is at 0 but there is no record of the transaction in history....getting nervous! What now?
Shut it down and re booted but funds gone!!!!!!!!!!!
No transaction history for this vote and balance at 0! What should I do?
Thanks for the quick reply bytemaster. I'm running .24 is this not the latest release?
Yes that's what I'm running so should I wait for .25 and hope that it fixes my problem? It's an eerie feeling having you're account at zero after voting.

Oh man, how do I write this post, without getting a Nullstreet fatwa declared on me?I see it the same way.
Well here goes...
Dear Matt,
After quickly reading through this op, I was exited that we had someone trying to run an Argentina marketing delegate. I was partiqually looking forward to your radio ad on LTB, since this is one of your main skills. To be honest I was shocked, and I can't understand why nobody else didn't bring this up already. Your just not radio material.
Next are your writing skills, and I hate to say it, but that unpublished article just isn't a nice read. I don't see it getting posted on techcrunch any time soon.
This gets me extra worried because you will be responsible for the content on the "Argentina BitUSD portal".
The only reason left for voting you in, is so you can delegate funds to Elmato and Fran2k.....
I don't think this is a good idea, for reasons mentioned by bytemaster in the 12-5 hangout. https://soundcloud.com/testzcrypto/beyond-bitcoinhamgout-12-05-14-updates-from-bytemaster
(17:30).
This raises an interesting question. Am I being to hard/demanding, or are others just to happy to to vote in any delegate with a "marketing proposal"?
I used to be of the opinion that every effort, how little it may be, would bring some value to BTS. However I'm starting to think that, that since BTS is in it's startup phase, it's crucial that the shareholders make decisions on effectiveness rather than just getting something out there. The decisions we make now, will have an effect on further BTS adoption.
Sorry for being a bit harsh, but tactfullness isn't really part of my skill portfolio.
I guess I shouldn't be running a "Bitshares tactical delegate" campaign.

Graffenwalder, I always appreciate an honest opinion.
My radio ad was my first ever radio ad. Aruther Falls (legendface666) who runs the show said it was a great ad and he was excited to have such high quality material on the show. It's possible he says that to everyone, but that's the only other feedback I've received on it. I don't see what's wrong with it, though next time I won't spell out my delegate name at the end. Could you explain what was wrong with it or offer constructive feedback?
That unpublished article is a bit rough now I look at it again. I was attempting to bridge a very niche topic into a more mainstream lens which was a bit too much of a stretch. With a little bit of editing to re-target it to the cryptosphere it can easily be upgraded and used somewhere.
No comments on the other one on r/cryptocurrency? My copy actually got used in a relatively successful marketing push and I've had lots of positive feedback on it. It can't be bad. I also coined the slogan that will be used in the social media 'thunderclap' campaign. "Crowdhiring, it's a thing".
With the radio ad, not even the official marketing team took the opportunity for a free slot on a popular bitcoin podcast. I am the only one who took action. Do you want things to get done?
Re: delulo on the video I slapped together, that was voluntary and nothing to do with my delegate campaign. I was frustrated by the endless talk about videos and nothing getting done. So I had a go myself. At the very least it helped inspire the community marketing efforts by setting an example of taking action.
And again there was endless talk about Argentina but no budget for it. I am the only one who took the plunge to make sure it goes ahead.
Like I have said before, delegates delegate. I won't be creating the bitUSD portal on my own, but I will be making sure it gets done. BM said in that podcast he wants delegates with a strong vision. I have that. It doesn't mean doing it all myself and paying myself a salary. What needs to be done in Argentina requires a wide assortment of skills, it's a team effort and I am more than capable of co-ordinating it and funding the right initiatives with plenty of community consultation.
The decisions we make now, will have an effect on further BTS adoption.
As for Matt's delegate, Elmato and Fran2k support Matt's initiative and those guys are already making a difference at the Bitcoin Embassy.

My two concerns are: Not professional enough with respect to what I have seen (the bitusd video and the radio ad) and not actually from Argentina / not native Spanish.
In light of the recent resignation of our Marketing Director and Bytemaster's explanation that marketing will now be handled in a decentralization manner, we NEED more marketing delegates right away. Get the Argentina delegate going. Please vote for Matt608!!!
You can provide more reliability by publishing your version.
And please consider publishing price feed and slate if possible; the former shows your ability of responsible delegate, and the latter will build healthy network among delegates.

Very impressed by your accomplishments and glad that I voted for you. Is there any way of knowing how many Bitshares users we now have in Argentina?
Month 1 update:That sounds good! Thanks for your honest work Matt.
I've been working closely with Frank (fran2k). So far we have achieved:
- BitShares 101 translation. View on cryptofresh (http://cryptofresh.com/products/36)
- Frank gave a long talk explaining the whole of BitShares at the first BitShares meetup in Buenos Aires to 30+ attendees. This video recording (http://=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3WXMOQ9-uo) was made of the event - see photos here (http://=http://www.meetup.com/Bitcoin-Argentina/events/219090827/) and the BitShares Argentina google+ page (https://plus.google.com/108286277155439858065/posts)
. A bitUSD giveaway was done too and the cost covered by elmato.
- Shorter talk by Frank to 60+ attendees at this Bitcoin + BitShares meetup (http://=http://www.meetup.com/Bitcoin-Argentina/photos/25872394/). Video coming soon.
- Paper wallet's designed and ready for upcoming giveaways (better looking versions coming soon):

Link builing - I obtained a link with keywords to bitshares.org from the homage of politicalcortex.com. View my article (http://www.politicalcortex.com/story/2015/1/29/83518/2299)
"Open Letter to David Cameron on Freedom of Speech, Government Surveillance and What to Do" at the top of the featured section on the homepage. This article is 2k words and has been submitted to other sites and awaits publication.
Only approximately half of my first month budget has been spent and I have not paid myself back the registration fee. I'll probably do that in the third month as I'd rather get fb ads running asap than pay myself back. General grass-roots marketing I've done includes a couple of Bitcointalk threads here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=895637.0) and here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=924481.0). I've played an active role in commenting about BitShares on articles and I made a bitshares homepage digital sketch to help with the design process. I'm part way though creating an SEO keyword list - view here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WU8pBzb5LeQ5J_UG4fMjOAPSgTlUpnpeG9GQwa7QLqs/edit?usp=sharing).

Month 2 Plan:
Frank has agreed to start working full time for BitShares for $100bitUSD a week. Frank will be working on: Written translations, video voice overs for cn-members videos + riverhead's tutorial videos, broschure creation and street giveaway, giving talks at the meetups, organising more meetup events, basic meetup video editing and networking, making connections and other tasks.
We are also looking at sponsoring an impressive speaker who travels around Argentina talking about bitcoin, to talk about BitShares. This is not yet arranged but conversation has started. Talks with a local bitcoin exchange is also set happen too within the next couple of weeks.
A tracking method is being worked out for paper wallet + brochure giveaways.
Facebook ads will launch and send traffic to a Spanish version of rgcrypto's awesome http://bitshares101.net funnel to build an email list and promote the book.
I will increase my article output this month, now that BitShares.org is (very nearly) up and running.
That's it for month 1! Total expenditure $641. I hold all my personal pay in bitassets ($200 a month).
I'm very much looking forward to month 2. Things can really start, with the book + website to promote we will start seeing new users.
:)
Edit: Just want to add I've been paying from my personal account due to having trouble with my client - as you can see all the delegate pay is still with my delegate wallet (in case anyone was wondering why it's still full). http://bitsharesblocks.com/delegates/delegate?name=argentina-marketing.matt608
That sounds good! Thanks for your honest work Matt.
How are South Am. connections to journalists or other influential parties going?
Did you find the time to talk to bitcoinba?
That looks fantastic! We will try to replicate your efforts in Greece and Italy.

I would like to use this too for handing out on the street.
people not afraid of using python may give this script a try:https://github.com/xeroc/bitshares-pytools/tree/master/papersharedrop
https://github.com/xeroc/bitshares-pytools/blob/master/Transactions/sharedrop.py
It's a rough python script that constructs withdraw/deposit transactions and signs them (offline if you want) and sends them to the bts_client ..
the example above will take (as inputs) .1 BTS and 5 USD from two different balance ids and send 1 USD each to new addresses ..
I will write a howto/readme tomorrow to give you hints about how to use this .. maybe make it even easier to use by interconnecting it more with the client ..
Thank you matt608 for all your hard work. Your enthusiasm and drive has been inspiring.

Updates on delegate team
We want to thank Mat608 for his great work as Argentina Marketing partner and his initiative on this delegate creation, wise driving and reliable administration. We are proud to have his confidence as delegate successor, and wish him the best for his upcoming projects.
We agreed with Matt on a delegate replacement for argentina-marketing-matt608, and he kindly accepted to run his delegate a couple extra months so we can prove integrity and commitment to the community while coordinating the new delegate registration and vote swap proposition.
With actual team reorganization we are working voluntarily. No one is getting paid for their contributions until we prove being valuable for the network. If a specific service needs to be paid to somone, that will be proposed in advance.
Budget allocation
Given our main goal to target already crypto-friendly public until Bitshares stable release, expenses have been low. As long time active members of Bitcoin Argentina community, we already have place and resources to create Meetups and participate on many conferences and other crypto related events. Costs are many times limited just to BitUSD paper wallet giveaways, printing and little else.
Matt has around 1500 BitUSD delegate savings (plus last weeks payouts). He has already covered his delegate registration fee.
We want to keep this direction, while making bigger plans for the upcoming times.
We would like to have some feedback at this point:
- Do you think we should keep saving as much as possible until 1.0 release?
- If so, what percentage would you like us to allocate on actual conferences as paper wallet giveaways, tri fold printing, etc?
- Should we start a discrete paid advertising campaign prior to 1.0 release?
- Should we remain filming talks at this moment?
- Would be right if we use funds to pay the delegate registration before the vote swap?
- Would you like Bitshares to sponsor Ariel Aguilar Bitcoin Evangelist conferences on one of his sponsorship/pricing categories? I.e. in the 250USD we could have access to participation in stands in top tier conferences where we can giveaway paper wallets + brochures. (See his Bitcoin Evangelism Plan Crowdfunding Campaign (http://docdro.id/xcf0).)
- Any other input is also welcome
We'd like to hear all views that contribute to align the community on a steady course
thanks for the heads up clayop. I'm calling fran2k right now, he has direct communication with Matt608.
Also no active feeds. This never happened to Matt before as far as I know, he's probably very busy with other projects.
We should swap delegates sooner than expected.

Here is the video done by Joaquin from elbitcoin.org!
The costs (around 500USD) were funded 50/50 by @matt608 and @elmato delegates.
