1) Light Weight Client
2) Lots of quality documentation (ie: my blog)
3) Gateways

4) Quality marketing materials promoting Bitshares to the crypto community, libertarian community, etc, which reference them to the above quality documentation, and to less technical pages which describe the benefits of bitshares in clear terms.

5) Press releases / Interviews with media members / Articles by journalists in the crypto community which explain the features and benefits of bitshares.    For example: One article about Counterparty and Smart contracts comes out and it goes up 300%.  Bitshares will be able to do this as well, but nobody knows or cares, we need articles to actually discuss us and make people aware of our amazing features.

6) Business partnerships which will make use of Bitshares features.  Press releases announcing these partnerships once they are ready.

Yes'm good points Ander.

General Discussion / Re: What is BitShares?
« on: December 18, 2014, 05:16:29 pm »

That's good stuff and that should be conveyed, at least in part on the homepage for first time visitors. In my opinion, if a new user goes to the homepage and walks away after 30 seconds with out knowing what bitshares is, then we're failing to get the message across.

Random Discussion / Breaking DNS
« on: December 18, 2014, 05:06:48 am »
Sony leaks reveal Hollywood is trying to break DNS, the backbone of the internet
A leaked legal memo reveals a plan for blacklisting pirate sites at the ISP level.

Makes me wonder if bitshares could be vulnerable to this sort of thing as it becomes a threat to traditional banking.

Just an idea

General Discussion / What's the realistic BTS potential?
« on: December 18, 2014, 02:02:54 am »
Just interested to know what people realistically think BTS price could achieve. $1 seems to me to be  very achievable for such a technology, probably much more.

Thanks

General Discussion / Cuba -a bitUSD opportunity?
« on: December 17, 2014, 04:03:05 pm »

"U.S. debit and credit cards to be allowed in Cuba as part of plans to normalize relations". Wouldn't it be nice to get the word out about bitUSD in Cuba or on the Cuban community websites/twitter?

« on: December 17, 2014, 02:39:17 am »
Was Brian responsible for the on-off ramps that were supposedly being setup?  Funnels?

We have retained the team that he has hired as they are doing good work.

Thank you bytemaster.
Brian - best wishes to you.

... Now let's get the word out there!!

@bytemaster - is there a project timeline that can be released to the community? Even a high level one would be appreciated.

Thanks

General Discussion / Re: BitReserve article on CoinTelegarh na R/bitcoin
« on: December 11, 2014, 12:40:17 am »
"Like all of Bitreserve cards, Bitoil will be easily spent anywhere that accepts bitcoin. The potential effects that this will have on oil, essentially changing it from a commodity to a sort of hybrid currency that also has real life applications, has yet to be seen.

Bitreserve Founder and CEO Halsey Minor will be speaking at the Bitcoin Conference in Dubai next week about Bitoil. Presumably, he will let more details slip then."

BitReserve are trying to steal our thunder. I think we need that 1.0 and marketing push within the next 6 months so we can get in there and duke it out.

General Discussion / Re: Don't trust my computer- best place to store BTSX?
« on: December 10, 2014, 12:37:04 am »
Would cold storage on a USB work?

Thanks

Store it in your brain. If you must back it up then back it up on paper and only use USB if you can't back it up on paper. Make multiple copies of the encrypted file and store them in separate locations.

Hey Lucky,

1. How do you back it up to paper? If you could point me in the right direction, i'd sure appreciate it.
2. when you talk about to you brain, are you talking about the private key?

Thanks

Welcome. I'm new here too.

There is a good group of guys here, so dont be afraid to post some basic questions in the newbie section. Take some time and browse the forum as many questions have already been answered.

Take a while to get your head around some of teh concepts and i would urge you to listen to the podcasts in the Beyond Bitcoin section of Marketing. Bitshares is also launching a youtube channel.

Welcome friend :)

Thanks

General Discussion / Re: Venezuela needs bitUSD
« on: December 08, 2014, 03:33:36 pm »
I  think your site http://whatisbitusd.com/ should be translated in Spanish ASAP maybe it will go viral  in Latin America :)

Absolutely agree. But some of the links might need tweaking.. the interest button returns to the home page.
I like it though
