We're discussing now which events we'll attend in 2015.  Miami is one of them that I think we should be at.  B

General Discussion / Re: Kim DotCom is broke. Bankrupted by legal fees.
« on: November 29, 2014, 09:55:14 am »
We will debate the merits of Kim Dotcom for 3-5 days, it will surface again every few weeks and we'll probably be no closer to any type of resolution. Here's my advice, take it for what it's worth, if you want to contact someone, contact them. It's a decentralized project, make your contacts and bring new people into the ecosystem.

Don't say "first person" because there are already about 5 individuals being funded by BTS.

Yes, we now have elected 6 paid delegates.

But we can definitely say "be one of the first people ever hired by a blockchain!"

The message was changed to being one of the first.

As a reminder, this was just a test case. We didn't even hit the marketing lists yet.  I'm working with Bitmarket to create an AMA and Google Hangout inviting new people outside the community to discuss how it all works.  For our marketing and devs, please touch base with Bitmarket.

Make a job for your self.

I love this!!

With DPOS, you create your own job. You pitch exactly the value you can bring to the community at the fair market rate, and they decide if they think you are honest and competent.

That statement will look great on the we're hiring page!

Nullstreet characters, please read Matt608's rough and review the implementation proposal.

General Discussion / Re: Delegate project boards?
« on: November 28, 2014, 04:21:16 pm »
Is it possible to get a delegate projects board added to the forum?

There could be a separate sub-board for each project so that we can share ideas and so interested parties can follow our development progress.

For example, there has been a fair amount of talk about web-wallets / mobile wallets recently, it would be great to have a place just to hash out the associated ideas/problems/requirements with the other developers, so we can share work and not re-invent each other's wheels, so to speak :)

General Discussion / Ideas * Weekly Marketing Newsletter - 12-02
« on: November 28, 2014, 04:11:23 pm »
If you want to include anything specific into the next community marketing newsletter, please submit it by 12-01 1am EST.  Time between newsletters is aggressive, I request you submit text you would like to include into the newsletter rather than just ideas. We're making great progress, let's keep up the momentum.

I wrote an article for this and posted it to nullstreet.

Looks great, already posted some thoughts. I will nudge the rest of the guys at Nullstreet to look it over, it should be a top priority. Bitmarket has volunteered to create a video explanation to accompany the press release.

"Ok great, best of both worlds. 'BTS continues to aggressively pursue top talent - be one of the first devs hired by a blockchain!'" - Toast

MeTHoDx suggested 'one of the first' since that's more accurate and still has impact.  We're hashing out some release ideas on Nullstreet, there's a handful of people that are interested in contributing to the PR rough.

Based on in-person conversations with payment processors, Bitpay has no interest in anything outside of Bitcoin. That could change, just not the low hanging fruit. Once Coinbase adds Litecoin, there might be opportunity. Gocoin already accepts alts, that's the lower hanging fruit in my opinion.
