If I had a chance, I will redesign the fee system.

1. change all fee asset from BTS to FEESUSD which belong to committee. all fees will priced on this FEESUSD.
     committee  only need to sell FEESUSD for bitUSD to increase the supply .
2. all witness and worker will get payment in FEESUSD.
     if you don't  have faith in Bitshares, or if Bitshares can't get enough users, the FEESUSD is rubbish,
     in the other hand, the FEESUSD is exactly 1 USD's worth.
3. no new BTS need create.  committee can use bitUSD to buyback BTS andT burn it to give back profit to all BTS holders.

Who would work for a worthless UIA with no collateral or leverage value?
why do you think it's worthless if it can be used as the fee?
fiat USD is create backed by the future USA tax income.
FEEUSD is create backed by the future BTS fees income.
it's fair, you want get payment from Bitshares you must have faith on FEEUSD.

General Discussion / Re: Bistshares vs Waves Platform
« on: April 20, 2017, 01:00:02 pm »
you said good, we don't need to argue with others, we need good PR.
don't forget Bytemaster is  always the winner every time he argued with others.Vitalik never had a chance.

BitShares is better technically and on the aspect of having a true decentralized and stable token. However that is not everything. Waves is way better funded, has more momentum and way better PR than BitShares. Their DEX even if it isn't as good, looks better. So people will naturally go there becasue user experience matters.

Either way, I think what matters the most and what ends up making the difference in the end will be liquidity. People trade where's volume. So better pump these bots, which are one of the best things happening to Bts imo. Anyone can provide liquidity even if only a tiny bit.

Btw, the way that was handled on Twitter was bad. It doesn't look good or show confidence on BitShares' product. Just focus on BitShares and bringing in liquidity, let others alone. The tech is here, so it's just a matter of time until the cliente looks better and liquidity increases.

I think BitShares should take advantage of this altcoin bubble to hire someone or a team of UX experts to do a rework. It will end eventually and might be harder to do so in the future.

Technical Support / Re: Setting Up a New Witness Node

@JonnyBitcoin
Thanks! I appreciate your confidence and the tip. You can have my votes as well if you ever need them.

@rnglab
The websocket exposure was only during the initial synch (per the docs guide) but I will skip it on my next build. Thank you.

So the 8GB was an initial recommendation I found browsing through the forum. My build uses 16GB and it's pushing its limit. I am looking at 32GB for my final build (aiming at a 2 year life cycle)

@alt
I meant this threat to be a guide for people to help secure the network, I am not even soliciting anything. I will write my witness proposal later when I get done tuning it and get the final build.
But I guess there is always a hater so to answer you quickly:
- about 'bue' - I like swiss cheese
- Running a witness is a RESPONSIBILITY and I would think that it is in community's interest to build a pool of capable witnesses, both active and standby
- If you keep hating on every new comer, you will not be able to grow this community
- and as far as the active witnesses go, they are mostly voted in by two people only
Feel free to look me up on https://bitcointalk.org or https://talk.peercoin.net/

@tbone
Thanks
sorry I just saw this today.
and you have my support
I am not hate for newcomer, I just need be carefully, because I have saw so many scam happened in Bitshares

this is real business owned by yourself,
in fact you never need to wait for bitRUB
if you want to resolved trusted issue, just need to give owner's priority to multi account trusted by RUSSIA community. @bitcrab should can give you much advice.
you have my support, as one of the most important thing for Bitshares development.

ALT,

Can the bot work on a UIA asset that doesn't have a price feed, such as STEEMFACTORY?
you can trade all asset if you can get the reference price.
for some asset lack of trade history, no reference price from btsbots.com,
you can set a custom price in the bots->config page

here is the detail for all reference price source

1. from script btsprice which used by delegate.baozi
1) all MPA issued by commiittee
    "KRW", "BTC", "SILVER", "GOLD", "TRY",
    "SGD", "HKD", "RUB", "SEK", "NZD", "CNY",
    "MXN", "CAD", "CHF", "AUD", "GBP", "JPY",
    "EUR", "USD", "TCNY", "TUSD", "ARS"
2) some UIA issued by trusty gateway:
    "BTC": ["OPEN.BTC", "TRADE.BTC"], "USD": ["OPEN.USD", "OPEN.USDT"],
    "EUR": ["OPEN.EUR"], "CNY": ["OPEN.CNY"], "RUB": ["RUBLE"]}

2. from exchange poloniex.com
1) some UIA asset
    "OPEN.ETH", "OPEN.DASH", "OPEN.STEEM", "OPEN.MAID", "OPEN.LTC", "OPEN.OMNI", "OPEN.LISK"
2) special SYMBOL can used in bots config page
    "POLONIEX:USDT_BTC"

3. all other asset's price are get from DEX's trade history with simple alg,
   it's not trusted enough if the depth is bad, you'd better set a custom price for these assets.
   and there are no price from some assets, because they are lack of trade history

I'm in, my account: delegate.baozi
and btsprice have upgrade to support feature alias,
add this to config.json will support  RUBLE
"alias": {
    "RUBLE": "RUB"
},

and blockchained, you need to set the flag "witness feed asset" to on, so we can publish the price
