With the recent change in the bitshares price, the "call price" of my shorts is dangerously close to the actual price.
It's at 225 but I see the 24h high was 240 and my "call price is around 240-245.

I was thinking about roll over but I see a lot of buyers (10k) making another smaller wall in front of the big wall of shorts waiting for cover.

If i understand well, I have to short and buy my own BitUSD (to roll over) at a higher price than that small wall right ?
That, or I wait and hope that the BitUSD price doesn't go up to 241 ?

Damn ... I just woke up  :-[

I miss probably the last oportunity to get some more bts very cheap.
I was keeping an eye on the Bitshares price to be ready and ...

... I had to sleep, so silly.

@EstefanTT, price is still way down over the last 24 hours, so we still have some great buying opportunities :)

i'm actually trading some Dash for BTS right now, and will prob make another BTC-->BTS order later today...just want to see where this price is heading as the trading day gets started.

It went up to .00001904 but felt back just after and this time ... I wasn't asleep !!!!  :D

I'm sure it wasn't intentional but I also had the same feeling (just slightly but it was there)

My comment is only there to help, it's in any way a critic  ;)

Great job so far Ronny !

It seems that we need a tool to manage/deal with the organisation of the paid workers.

Maybe that tool could be created by a paid worked job.  (just throwing the idea)

Privacy

Bond market

Projects i'd like to see get funded:

1) Hardware and iOS/Android wallets

2) Merchant POS apps, devices, businesses, whatever...just get bitUSD out into the world

3) Direct fiat-BTS-bitasset on/off ramps so i don't have to keep telling people 'you first need to buy bitcoin and then you can buy bitUSD'

Not necessarily in that order ;)

When I short to myself and want to sell the BitUSD I have from it. I sell them in the wall but I don't use the wall price, I use a slightly lower price

If the wall is buying at 160.8888 then I will sell my BitUSD at 160.8887. You loose almost nothing and this work directly without any problem.

When I used the wall price sometimes I had to wait a lot.

Thanks for all these answers ;)

All right. So ...

If I get it, the hosting provider just have to support basic features for our web site and implementation of the wallet.

Then we'll need a 9$/month VPS to deal with the wallet, interact with the blockchain, and upgrade it when, very soon, market cap reach 1,000,000,000,000$

When I read about the referral systemI I had the understanding that anyone with an annual or life time account could refer others and earn part of the fees.
We are still considering our options. Let's say we would want to start with that system. That would be probably possible with an existing Registrar and us playing the role of Referre, right ?
How the fees would be split ? Is that out there some projects in progress in this direction ? Is there a place better then bitshares.org to learn more about it ? Or a thread I miss ?

Sooo many questions ...  :o

I'll a PM to @Cass in a few days if he didn't see this thread ;)

Hello

As you have seen we built a web site of information about BitShares in french a few months ago. We did it in a hurry as we were translating "Bitshares 101" and other articles to have a place to offer that info. We use Wix, a web builder. It helped a lot to get the things done quicly but we notice that it was awfully slow to charge and also have a lot of restrictions.

As we aim to be the BitShares portal to french speakers, we need some quality and professionalism.

This last month I have been learning HTML5 and CSS3 to be able to rebuild our web site in a better way. In about two weeks it will be done. More efficent, clear, simple, ... and better looking ;)

In addition of what we already have, we want to translate to information of bitshares.org and explain it in the same way, by categories.
We thought it would be nice to use the same icon for each category. The idea is to keep some relation/homogeneity/continuity with the main page.
Is that ok with the person who made these icons and with the community that we use these images ? We won't copy exactly the disposition of the categories, size of the icons, deisgn of page. We will have something different but having the same spirit.  We hope it will help people to understand that this is a french branch of Bitshares and not another distant project.

We also need advices on the new server we will rent. The one from wix doesn't allow us to use it as a normal server, everyything have to transit through their builder interface.

We hope we'll be able to fund our project and futur developments with the referal program. We are not very sure of what we will need in order to achieve it.

Will we need to have our own wallet online (on our web site) on our server ?
In this case, what are the requirements the new server should have ?
Will we need a high tech geek master brain to implement it or it there will be some sort of easy plug in ?

These are the big questions we have for the moment. Any help will be much apreciated !

As we already mentioned it, we want to go in the same direction of this community,  be as flexible and open minded as possible. Any comments, opinions, suggestions, recommandations, critics, ...  will be positively received.

The coma may be confusing if non US people see the video.

The "," is for decimals in Europe.

i'm toying with the idea of putting together an investment club or even a small crypto hedge fund with one function being shorting bitassets into existence. We absolutely need demand for our products--bitassets--but we also need people willing to take the counterparty position and create them in the first place.

I like your idea of creating an investment club ;)

You can count me in.

I took a look at it.

(I have to confess, having already short, you scared me a little with your big green warning  :-X... but everything is cool)

Thanks for the explanations ;)

I maybe wrong but I use to think that anyone taking a look at our BitUSD market from outside of this community may be thinking that there is a problem.

Everyone in the Crypto sphere is not a senior trader and this gigantic wall seem scary.

I may be a little out of topic but solving this weird market would have a beneficial effect on the perception that people have on our main BitAsset.

I'm not understanding enough of that to allow myself to create a post on that but something simple explaining the risks, value and process to short (simpler than it mat seem) could make a difference.
(I'm posting this comment here because it seem a little related. )

I'm surprise that we still have so few liquidity. Bts price is low and going to rock, anyone here holding for long term should be shorting, no ?
