Title: Life Membership cash back offers
Post by: tonyk on November 12, 2015, 03:30:37 pm
What are the best offers around (if any) for customers signing under a referrer and upgrading to Life membership pretty much as a first transaction.

Waiting for the referrer's fee to vest  before getting the cashback is OK, I suppose.

if there were such an option I'd consider it.

As it stands I'm waiting on a significant bts price rise before I upgrade.

This is good. Actually unbelievable if you mean at the moment of the upgrade.
Do you mean after 3 mo.?
Or (I do not know if they vest linearly, for this to even apply) as they vest?

I grant this discount until I run out of funds obviously, then it's 3 months waiting

I will take it.. but I will upgrade only and if that fee proposal is back.
What happened to the proposal for parameter changes, including Life Time Membership for 10K? it did not pass? How come?

There are not enough committee members supporting the requested change.  There are a total of 9 inits and 2 'real' committee members. In order for more than 2 'real' com members to be voted into this 11-member group, BM needs to support them and vote them in or other stakeholders with large enough stake (about 126M bts to overtake the inits) to vote for them.

Are you saying the 9 inits cannot vote it themselves or that this is a proposal NOT coming from BM?

I presume you are talking about the fee proposal by the committee members and not BM.  If you are talking about BM's proposal then I am on the wrong page.

The com members' proposal can only be voted in by the active (ie voted-in) committee members if they have > 50% members supporting it.

I have no clue who's proposal it was. I all I know is the Lifetime reg fee was 10K BTS...if I count correctly what parameter is what, that is.

You are referring to the com members' proposal then.  Please vote for the committee members in this list - https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/board,102.0.html

bitcrab and clayop are voted-in ie they are active members.  The rest - fav, mindplux, bhuz, puppy and bitcube are not voted yet.  The non-active members need to be voted in and replace the inits in order to activate the proposal you are looking for.  To do so, we need support from BM and/or other big stakeholders.

I really do not know which issue to address first....

- no one voting for workers or committee members...well other than some 'angle's coming to vote for all the current status quo.
- no one knowing what the elected or candidate commute members stand for on each/any issue.
- or no one having any real incentive to become a committee member

I honestly have no clue which one is worse.

I think all of the above apply.   Do they need to be addressed in any particular order?

Not really. I just think people are better at focusing at one issue at a time. I know I am.
