We are not paying for an infomercial... someone else is taking that risk/reward on their own.
Thanks for clarifying!

I would still hate to see that happen. I suppose if you aren't paying for it, then you can't control it.

I have to disagree w you, infomercials can cause massive marketing buzz and break tremendous ground.  It's proven that many people are deeply affected by well produced infomercials.  And although you may not respond to them well, there are many people out there that would. Leave it to the guys that have made tier millions off of them and please don't complain.

Agreed on all fronts.  I understand your position, but market exposure is a must.  Do not pigeonhole the demographics of people that see/buy from infomercials...anything can be sold with the right marketing and funnels.  We just had to find the angle that made it mass appealing - and I think we found it.

I'm envisioning some Casascius-minted physical BitShares here. Something tangible people can understand and order from the privacy of their own homes.

You sir, are on the right track.  The info deal is not for Bitshares directly, as I was working on the deal before I became involved in Bitshares.  That said, we can take the buyer data and target them for Bitshares.

Part of the problem with the industry is that it seems everyone wants it to remain exclusive to the "industry", which will not get the mass adoption you are looking for.  In marketing, sometimes the ends justify the means.

PPS: NXT is not even in top10

NXT usually doesn't have a whole lot of volume. They've had very little selling overall. I think BTSX is going to dwarf NXT by many magnitudes, but we should aim for that same sort of loyalty.

Loyalty must be deserved, in order for it to be deserved it must be earned.  The team here is striving to make every day better than the last in all things, from marketing, to programming, to user experience, and more.  No doubts here that we will garner the support we need.

I think BitUSD is the key.

Asset Xchange perhaps?  I like Asset union as well but exchange is true to what it is.

I was thinking the same thing!

Personally, for me it is too hard to try and figure out how to even create an account on btc38 since it is all in Chinese.  I can try Google translate but many fields still do not translate.  I know there is a big market for Chinese buyers of BTSX, not sure if it would be easy to make an English version of the site to enable users to try that?  Just my .02 (which is where BTSX is going here shortly  ;) )

Once we are ready to pull the trigger. Doing prelim stuff, getting pages and funnels built now, then it's gonna get really interesting.  I would give a time frame but that is a little premature.  I have a timeframe, just don't want to be held to the coals on it just in case there is a hiccup.

Turn up the AC, it's getting hot in here!

No promises, but just wait until we are done with the marketing project we are working on, I think price will go 200-500x in no time.

I will be doing a live training next Thursday at 7pm EST showing how to buy large and small quantities of Bitshares.  You can buy large amounts of Bitshares like this, though it will drive the market price up or down.  I agree with these other answers to the thread, in that slippage is fine now, as I am positive that we will see $1 in the next 60-90 days.  Buying at this price, even if it rises to a few cents is nominal in the grand scheme.  If you want to watch, come here: http://linksfrom.us/howtobitshare

I will sit down with Brian to make sure you have a good list of things to add/change on your main sites.  As for content, I can get a big keyword list to you guys.  THat being said, doing Bitshares specific and lateral type of traffic keywords then driving them to Bitshares will work.  We also will be employing several different strategies to max out that traffic and get them into the Bitshares funnel.  It is a work in process.

I am a partner on a PR/News submission network, so if you guys can write press releases and news articles about relevant items on Bitshares, new techonolgies that revolve around the crypto-world, Bitcoin news (I know that it isn't the same, but by gathering traffic to those articles we can retarget them later, as well as a few other things).  We will then take the content you produce and get them #1 in the news and general results.
