I can confirm that v0.4.24.1 isn't missing any blocks for me

I am not missing blocks with v0.4.25-RC1 too...
...but I have 8 gb ram on my personal server that host my delegate.

Same here. Currently reindexing 0.4.25 AND running 0.4.24. Doesn't seem to have any issues.

It's getting scary for sure!

"blockchain_average_delegate_participation": "55.49 %",

are some devs watching?

At their timezones they should be sleeping

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Careful when upgrading delegate to 0.4.25

0.4.24 instances report a lot of duplicate transactions when blockchain_use_forks is used. Is it the same with you ?

Hmmm, after building the latest and running the client (with the current delegate still going) I get this:

Code: [Select]
./bitshares_client
Loading blockchain from: /root/.BitShares/chain
Loading config from file: /root/.BitShares/config.json
------------ error --------------
10 assert_exception: Assert Exception
_map->is_open(): Database is not open!

Try using different --data-dir for each delegate instance (you can copy the old datadir).

I deleted the keys for delegate.adam before there was a "revoke" feature. It is a symptom of bad voter turnout that an old inactive delegate is in the top 101...

I'd more likely say it's a symptom of a badly designed delegate approval system that allows an inactive delegate to be elected at all.

Why don't we automatically blacklist a delegate if either
a) their reliability falls too low
b) they miss too many consecutive blocks

b) case should blacklist for certain periods of time. I still think a delegate "vacation" feature is needed where delegate withdraws for certain period of time from block signing.

General Discussion / Re: Proposal Voting for User Issued Assets

"Issuers can cancel bids to buy the UIA returning the BitUSD/BTS to the bidder."
Can this be revoked by the issuer too?
How exactly is it supposed to work?

Can you still create user issued asset that is completely decentralized?
Meaning issuer doesn't have any control over it (except initial distribution)?

btc38 changed their API from BTSX to BTS, is your script updated for that?

Evidently not. But there are loads of instances of that particular error in the log, so not sure why it just stopped working now.

That error shouldn't prevent the script from finishing. I've seen similar behavior but I'm not yet sure why it happens. I'll investigate further.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Technical Delegates Real Time Chat

I see 7 responses in favor of skype.
I'd ask people willing to create such group to state it (via skype PM message to me or PM me their skype ID).
Even though I might have added someone as skype contact I'll not add that person to the group unless he/she explicitly agrees.

My feeds quantity has suddenly dropped to zero on bitshareblocks.com, but the script is still running - any idea what could have happened?

Provide script version, commandline arguments and output.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Trapped Funds in EUR

Not publishing feeds is one thing.
What is worse -> publishing specific feed and after some time stopping it.

Stakeholder Proposals / Trapped Funds in EUR
« on: November 28, 2014, 08:51:00 am »
Currently there are not enough EUR price feeds.
This market had more than 51 at one point in time so there are about 2k EUR in circulation.
These funds are trapped until 51 delegate feeds are provided.

Can I ask why the feeds are less than 51?
