BitShares AGS / Re: agsexplorer.com vs angelshares.info

Feature request on http://www1.agsexplorer.com/ : Is it possible to make it so that if you click on a day, i.e. February 2nd, you would be able to see the list of transactions for February 2nd in the place where today's transactions are located?

General Discussion / Re: Confusing Bitshare / Pts
« on: February 20, 2014, 07:00:55 pm »
After February 28th, you will have bitshares and still have your PTS. Expect the demand for PTS to continue to grow until February 28th.

After that date some people think the price of PTS will fall back, but others think that may not be the case. If bitshares turns out to be all that it can be, the demand for PTS will climb as people want to get a piece of future bitshare chains and other DACs.

BitShares PTS / Re: Will PTS mining continue after Feb 28?
« on: February 20, 2014, 06:55:22 pm »
Yes Protoshares can still be mined after the initial Bitshares chain is released. Bitshares on February 28th is only the first chain, more chains and DACs will be released after that for a long time.

Protoshares will have 2 million total and only 1.5 million have been mined. I also believe after the 2 millionth Protoshare that is mined there will be 1% per year additional that can be mined (I believe this is true, but not 100% sure).

When do i need to make sure i have all my PTS in my wallet in order to receive BTS when it comes out? Is March 1st a good deadline?

I think the snapshot is February 28, therefore you should have all your PTS in your wallet before that day.

BitShares AGS / Re: 1 AGS worth more than 1 PTS
« on: February 17, 2014, 09:35:23 pm »
Is anyone else holding out for 100 AGS/BTC again before they donate more?

No chance before Feb 28. With all the new updates, AGS will give you almosr 3x Bitshares than PTS.

In fact, I expect people to sell off PTS to get more AGS.

Can you elaborate? I thought AGS will give the same amount of BTS as PTS. How is it giving you 3x bitshares? (Perhaps I missed an update somewhere)

1/2 of the bitshares goes to AGS and the other 1/2 to PTS, with each getting 2 million. On February 28th, over 1.5 million PTS will exist and less than 600,000 AGS will exist, so the 2 million will be divided among those  numbers making the ratio of bitshares per AGS substantially more than the ratio of bitshares per PTS.

Looks great!

typo?: above the green number 3.00 you have written "bitshares balance", next to it to the right is the red number 0 and above that it also says "bitshares balance" (shouldn't that say "bitcoin balance"?)

Looks like someone was able to contact Bter and get the forum link fixed, but now the "Website: link" is broken, it takes you to http://invictus-innovations.com/protoshares which is an error page. Contact Bter to get that fixed.

What is happening with the Pull Requests on GitHub for the typos? I submitted some changes as a pull request a month ago and they were never changed. Since Mt. Gox was removed from the page last week, I deleted that pull request and created a new one with the typos done on the current version of the page. It seems like Super3 is no longer updating?

Yes, Super3 has started his Semester at school and is too busy to work on this.   We have created a fork of his website here: https://github.com/InvictusInnovations/invictus.io

If you submit pull requests there our guys will pull it in and address it.

Thanks, I created pull request #3

Sorry for your terrible situation.

Can someone explain to me what the benefit for the buyer and the simultaneous benefit for the seller is in making a trade like this when exchanges exist? It can't be simply to save a marginal amount on the transaction fee can it?

I think trading via the forum should have stopped once we had exchanges that safely match buyer and seller.

Technical Support / Re: Beginner investing with a small bank roll

In the crypto-world getting a 100x return is possible.  Thus investing $1 in 100 things will break even if you lose 100% on 99 things.    Based on this reasoning, an investor looking to mitigate risk is probably well served by picking 5 of the most promising ideas and investing proportional to their understanding of the idea.

Nothing replaces knowledge if you want to see a return.

What are the 5 most promising ideas?
I am sure 1 of them is BTS/PTS/AGS but give us your take on the other 4 you feel are currently the most promisng

LOL... there are none that I would invest in.
Wise words Dan. Wise words.  :P
That's the answer I think I wanted to hear. I was stretched out with investments all over the place, but have recently been consolidating towards riding this wave thinking it will be the one to take me to the promised land.
