As an afterthought, my big concern is that recently more and more products succeed on hype, not solid analysis.
DC, though superior to DAO, can become a victim of this attitude.
Who wants to be bothered with analyzing hundreds of digital UIAs if they can invest in a single DAO without having to put much effort into decision making?
The DAO style of collective decision making is likely to ultimately fail but people don't care about it at this stage. They want to get rich quick and without much effort.
So in rational terms, DC is probably more effective than DAO, but it seems to me that nowadays people are drifting further and further away from rational thinking.
Its like a child growing up, you have to many times learn the hard way first. Many people have to learn the hard way before they get around, what is important is to get the more dedicated people catching on and following so that once these people disillusioned from their first mistakes are smoothly told and invited into the real thing.
Thi is partly what we are trying to show by looking into the various ICO's and proposse the ones considered with best possible outcome. Everytime you get some satisfied users involved, it will catch more the next time, and I plan on getting this up and running for many years to come, so there will be plenty of use cases.
Yes, I fully agree.
But this means that your business model will require much more patience before it can fully succeed.
The DAO is like fast-food: a way to earn quick money but the system will most probably eventually stall and possibly collapse due to its inability to make good long-term decisions.
DC is more like slow-food: it takes more time to grow but overall the solution is much more stable and sustainable.
IMO, you should market it accordingly. Don't compete with the DAO directly (don't fight against the current hype), just find your niche and stay there.
Gradually people will migrate to DC, but first they need to get burned in the DAO.
Good luck, Ronny. I really like your approach.
It's increasingly clear to me that you are aiming for long-term goals, which is very good.
