Title: Proposal: set up one mechanism to manage the New Assets registration
Post by: Overthetop on November 13, 2014, 05:36:08 am
There are lots of assets in the market now , and the big part of them were registrated just by rush, we can see there would be more if we let it go.

This is no good for the whole thing.

I propose  setting up one mechanism to manage the registration process of New Assets.

How about this way :

1. all of the new assets can be registered as an Tentative Assets , and then ,the assets enter into their review period, maybe several months.

2. when the review period comes to an end , the assets need to be checked and voted by the whole community.

3. if the assets surpass the criticality votes ,the system upgrades them as Formal Assets. if not ,then hang-up the assets or undercarriages the assets directly.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't want to investigate and vote for hundreds of assets ..

But I agree that it already is a little messy ... However, we can list the markets according to the VOLUME and thus scam markets will be at the end (hopefully) ...
You cannot protect every individual from bad investment decisions :(

At least ,we can add some obvious tabs or properties to the assets to make the distinction .

Such as bitUSD against bltUSD...

Such as VOLUME .. and/or number of issued shares .. also the issuer is called MARKET!!! not a account name

Too many rules, these investors are not kids, the community is not the guardian for their investment.

all right  then ,let us see the asset market becomes to a refuse landfill.

 :)

BTW, My proposal is not about we must vote out the formal assets, just want to remind the community find someway to  manage the assets market.

Is this an excessive demand?

Any better solution /idea is welcome here.

Thing is, after each asset is registered the BTS price to create the next asset goes up. That alone should filter out any non-serious or scam assets from flooding the asset list, as the cost may not be worth it??
Xeroc is correct IMO by sorting the market via volume and/or market cap, maybe only show the top 15 or 10?
That way only the good ones stay visible and if someone wants to meander around to investigate other potential offerings they can.

I also thought that maybe voting in a new asset would be the way to go, but I think that would add undue workload on both the end user and delegates.
