Title: Woocommerce - Integration Bounty
Post by: bytemaster on November 07, 2014, 10:09:59 pm
I would like to integrate BitUSD/EUR as payment options via Woocommerce and would like it done within the next month and am willing to pay to have it done.

If you know someone who can get this done let me know!

You must be willing to reveal your real life identity to get this job.

We will hire any company that can do it on a contract basis as well.

I know someone who may be interested, what kind of pay are you offering?

I was just told by the person I was thinking of that they don't have any time.

I have a few mins of research and I think it may be worthwhile to attack this issue as a generic bitshares for eCommerce solution package and not single integrations. Doing so would open up the doors to many more merchants and also show a sign of professionalism to new comers. What I mean is something like this:

https://bitpay.com/bitcoin-for-ecommerce#plugins

So the backend is consistent (bitshares ecommerce php lib) and front-ends are all different frameworks. I think it's more ambitious but its the right way to tackle the problem. I have begun estimating time it will take and can try to tackle the problem with this in mind. I will come up with an estimate of how long it should take and then can start development.

If we have two different solutions for two different plugins, we may have to "redo" all the work to integrate them under one library in the future anyway...

This sounds like a good approach to me... sometimes you have to do two plugins to learn what is in common.   Build a proof of concept, a minimal viable product, then circle around and refactor it into a generic solution.

Yup I agree... I think these two would be the top of the list either way... please check your PM, have a technical question about the approach we are taking with the interface.
