According to the USD-Denominated fee schedule (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21368.0.html, https://github.com/bitshares/committee-tools/blob/master/usd-denominated-fees/config.py), the committee is voting on a proposal which will update the operation fees.

Summary: since BTS price has fallen significantly, all operation fees in terms of BTS would be increased by 50% if the proposal is approved.

很好,然后BTS的交易量慢慢归零!理事会整天正事不干!真是无语了!

some major stock exchanges are to lower transaction fees following a recent slump on the markets to encourge trading and increase trading volume. increase bts fee now ? stupid proposal.

Agree.
Raising commissions is not a solution. People will trade less. Bots will trade less. New users will not want to trade on Bitshares with such a low trading volume.

If the volume of trading, transactions and the number of active users after raising commissions decreases by 50%, will you raise commissions again? This is not a solution.

We do not increase commission only adjust commission to the old USD price. Change of commission is not the reason we have now less users.

But at this market conditions and devaluation of the price between DEX and CEX for 15% atm, this is not a smart move. We can only lose more traders.
It's common sense. Why someone would be paying more fees when even with no fees he has losses on the real BTS price by 10-15% compared to DEX ?
I'm first who ranted entire year to increase fees (general fees), but while the settings on assets/pricefeeds and general condition of ecosystem was more normal.
With workers halted, we seen significant drop in markets due to lower worker payout and less trading by escrow itself. Ofc, we can exclude bitCNY from the story since that asset has special treatment for long time.
Create markets alive, then increase the fees (e.g. when we see 5M BTS+ daily trading per pair on 10 pairs around blockchain)

This is bear market, every coin has significant drop in markets, if we didn't halt some workers and lower worker payout, the situation will be more worse than now.
I found you still think things will become more better with the hight costs for so long a time, please to understand the market, even a little.

I do. That's why I'm supporting @abitmore's proposal for Market Making.
