Technical Support / Re: BTSX Price Per Share
« on: October 14, 2014, 09:24:40 pm »
Bitcoin went from 2.60 to 1165 in 2 years (44,707% gain).  This was when hardly anyone had even heard of crypto currencies too.  And still 2bln is not that hard to achieve even if there is just a slight change in the majority's public perception of crypto currencies.  Time will tell, but things move fast when momentum takes hold.

BTC was also much more difficult to acquire during those two years than BTSX is today.

The fiat on/off ramps I3 is teasing could make BTSX share price look like it has a hyper-drive compared to BTC.

what is I3 ?

Invictus Innovations Incorporated they are the dev team.

Thanks.

Are there any links to these "teasings" ?

I imagine they will have HUGE troubles with regulation if that goes big.  Do you guys know why Ethereum incorporated in Switzerland? (I heard because they got gov't clearance... a kind of a break... to do their business, raise money, etc.  Any such things for I3?

Technical Support / Where do you buy BTSX?
« on: October 14, 2014, 09:20:00 pm »
looking at coinmarketcap, I see btc38 and bter as the top markets and they both charge 1% withdrawal fee, and a 1 BTSX feee, and the normal trading fee.

Where do you buy BTSX with the minimal cost?

How many BTSx's should I buy if I have about 100 bitcoins now?

Is there any point to buying PTS/AGS's also?

Has anyone done the calculations on maximizing investment/purchase of Bitshares with potential future scenarios?

What happens if Daniel Larimer dies? -- how open, complete and understandable is the code and the project as a whole?

-- i totally do not wish this, but having this contingency would probably make him never to be a target to any bad-actors...

The Dan dac is under development and will embed my consciousness where it can live for ever

Haha...  great answer!!!  Thanks... reason I asked is that I remember really loving the bitcoin wiki on contingencies... does Bitshares have such a page?  -- it could also address all the possible results of a 51% attack, your falling in Love and dropping this project for ever, or beaming your DAC self to another galaxy

Company metaphor is...
BitsharesX vs Bitcoin and the winner... BitsharesX

Currency metaphor is...
BitUSD vs Bitcoin and the winner... BitUSD

We win either way!

One thing I don't understand is why is it necessary to tell people Bitcoin is a company (an unprofitable one) not a currency. Firstly, I don't really understand the logic of why it cannot be considered a currency. But secondly if people want to think of Bitcoin as a currency, that's fine, because its not in direct competition with Bitshares. As I am a bit confused, maybe others are, so is it really a key marketing point?

From a BTS/DAC perspective, Bitcoin definitely resembles shares more so than a currency. The shares happen to be in an unprofitable company.

It's a great marketing pitch. When it clicks, there's an "ah-ha!" moment of understanding. Followed by a smug grin.

Yeah, one of the Larimers' early metaphors was that Bitcoin is a company that pays 100% of revenue and a huge dilution subsidy to security guards (aka miners). That really clicked with me, and is one of the reasons I'm with BitShares today.

I'm just joining you guys now, and to be honest this was one of the KEY points of turning me to Bitshares also!

I have sooo many questions, I wish the live chat group was working

I'm sure this has been discussed before, I can't find the solution though.

Please help, how can I get some BTSX if neither BTC38 nor Bittrex transfer any to an account key?

Am I missing something, this ought to be FRONT & CENTER info

Thanks for any help

Post your account key here:
