Thank you for helping me with this fluxer555, I had spent days trying to resolve this myself, reviewing many posts and I was initially skeptical of reaching out for help.

If you have coins to recover send him a message and he'll walk you though everything step by step.

Hello,

I have a backup JSON file I created from the Bitshares console in 2015, I tried restoring this file in the Bitshares Web Wallet and I get an error saying "Please use a BTS 1.0 wallet_export_keys file instead".

After researching this issue and reading the migration guide, it's my understanding that I need to install BitShares 0.9.3c and run the backup command through the console.

I downloaded BitShares 0.9.3c from https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares1-core/releases and when I launch the application on my Mac it returns this error "an error occurred while starting the application" and quits.

This is where I'm stuck with an old backup file that I can't convert and import into the new Bitshares Web Wallet.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
