if "fav" as the biggest referral (i don't count openledger) could talk about his experience it would be easier to understand what it means to him and bitshares to lower the fees.

I did this already

here https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,20653.0.html and here https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,20929.msg270924.html#msg270924

thanks for the info!

i took the time to check most of the created accounts http://cryptofresh.com/u/fav
and 95% of them are not even once used. it looks to me on openledger-reg i will find similar results. so most people are looking and not using. if this are the normal
numbers we really can lower our transaction fees, because the referral program is not working like intented.

i personal think we should look to provide solutions for existing communities to make it easy and create solutions to count or give access via our blockchain.
our webwallet could be used for everything.

- gives access to a website
- create and count every project you can think

maybe it is not useful to go out and aquire random people. maybe it is better to look into communities who in need for some product like ours.

i don't get why so many people are so pumped up and i don't get why we need to make right now a decision on this case?

question should be: will lowering the transaction fees bring more users?

- some people think - yes
- some people think - no

but no party can prove their position with facts.

if we lower the transaction fees to 1 BTS what will happen to the referral program? is it dead?

- for this decision, can any referral talk about his numbers?

- how many accounts are created and used?
- how many fees got collected?

if "fav" as the biggest referral (i don't count openledger) could talk about his experience it would be easier to understand what it means to him and bitshares to lower the fees.

personally i think if we have a better product our fees can be higher and i think it is maybe to early to change some parameters yet. We should wait and look how we get traction after
STEALTH. The problem with changing right now will be that "maybe" more people will joining and transering, but we can not tell if it was STEALTH or that we lowered the fees, why
people joined our platform.

just the last reminder, next buyback coming monday! check the headline.

Would you be able to give us some some general info about how you guys are doing with MetaExchange? Top markets for example, and total volume trending up or down?

you mean before the buyback?

i don't know the numbers yet, i will count everything on the weekend. i expect a better result then last month.

General Discussion / Re: Radical ideas for liquidity
« on: January 27, 2016, 10:01:11 pm »
i understand why you guys want 1 coin to rule them all, but in reality every exchange will use their own coins, because they need to have
control what they are promising their customers. we as metaexchange can not take responsible of an openledger coin and if something happens to them or us,
everyone on the bitshares exchange will be hurt. so i think it is really a problem, but in the longrun bitshares get more from more unic partners.

we are trying to give our pairs some liquidity an providing at the moment support for this pairs:

https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/market/METAEX.BTC_BTS
https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/market/METAEX.BTC_BTC
https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/market/METAEX.BTC_OPENMUSE

so the idea is the same, most of the traders are used to look into BTC value, so we are trying to make METAEX.BTC pairs as liquid as possible. bitBTC is to illiquid to get this done - at least at the moment.

Is anyone familiar with this plattform?

I just saw https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/goodbye-mike-and-some-thoughts-about-bitcoin

Bytemaster should publish his blogposts, who are of public interest also on letstalkbitcoin. It is not enough to get them burried on a private blog.

I think anyone can publish on letstalkbitcoin if he buys enough coins, but i am not so sure, so maybe someone knows already this stuff?

its nice to see someone is thinking outside the box!

i will anyone tell, just move some assets from other exchanges into bitshares, we have now multiple ways to do it.

i think "maker" will help here, because at the moment everyone is complaining, but no one is responsible for liquidity.

which exchanges would you buy? i think we are not so rich :D

and just to hijack your thread

i proposed a new trading type here: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21110.15.html

i think we should also increase what we can offer.

our community is seen as a hostile community to outsiders.

- we think we are superior to all the other projects (at least the outside thinks this about us)

We are the least connected community if you think about how often we are mentioned and talked about us.

in converences their are no people invited to talk with other communities about the challanges crypto sees. So when should
new blood coming into bitshares?

everyone should get up and doing something!
