There is no reason to be afraid of downloading the latest light client since 2.0 came out. Your keys are not in jeopardy. If it would make you feel better, backup your wallet an place it somewhere separate on your system prior to upgrading (but you really should already have a backup if you've been diligent).

Probably not, mostly small cosmetic issues. but I'd recommend that you export your wallet and switch to Chrome for the time being.

Try this again after the 2.0.15.1202 release on Wednesday and report back please. In particular, we are trying to ensure that impossible trades never happen (regarding fees) and are trying to provide feedback when/if things do go wrong.

I offered a number of UI suggestions and was not received very well. I assume they need to port to 2.0. Really hope they make some majot changes to the UI in general. Ultimately, I'd like to see a stripped down version of the web wallet as a web app. Then we wouldn't have to go through the app store. Web apps are basically browser wrapped apps that can live on the user's phone desktop. They are great hybrid solutions.

Actually, @svk is the machine. If you guys want to give props, please do so for him. As far as I can tell he's doing this without any formal agreements (yet) from CNX. If he were to submit a worker proposal for his efforts, I'd fully support it.

@sudo language setting saving is definitely broken on the light wallets. It's fine on the web wallet. Tracking at:
