Title: Account Registration
Post by: armilo on February 03, 2015, 08:53:48 pm
> I tried to register a new account "armin39" (BitShares client 0.5.3)
> Faucet.bitshares.org answers: "We are unable to register account armin39 - Account cannot be registered. You are running out of your limit of free account registrations."
What can I do? Pls help!

Btw:  How can I change the urgency here from low to high?

The faucet's error message implies you tried to register too many times.

If you post your account key (accounts -> armin39 -> keys) we can send you some funds and you can register it with the "register" button.

The Key for account armin39 is:
BTS6sJFixuy9WmFdAWD5rtb21D1bGLREKi8CMzJuzjp9pR5agxZYn

Btw: How can I delete accounts that do not work or that I no longer need?

I tried to register you but it says that that account is already registered. Are you sure you didn't successfully register before?

Hi toast,
Yes, it's exactly the same problem as before:
> BitShares Window says that the account is registered.
> But when I send BitShares (from my Bter.com account) Bter cancells the withdrawal and says: "BTS account is not registered or memo is too long."
Best,
armilo

You should contact bter.com support, seems like the problem is on their end.

I think the problem should be resolved directly between BitShares.org and Bter.com. I'm not an IT guy and feel unable to discuss the problem competently.

The problem occurs here on 4 different computers (Windows 7 / 8.1 and Linux Mint) with several BitShares accounts and even with my sons in Spain and Portugal.

This was the answer from bter.com:
"Dear armilo,
Please try to send it to the account, not theaccount key.
For example, if you have a registered account lily with the key 123455.
Please try to send asset to lily rather than the account key 12345.
When you are trying to send BTS to bter, please also send to the account btercom instead of BTSX567mPAbaXvB932Ky2c7tNkswP92dyFDkf8s2cfRFbzC2VfgMzf
Best Regards
Bter.com"
This sounds strange, but it works!
No idea why the public key for transfers from bter.com to bitshares.org does not work ...
