Do you have a URL so others could access the GUI/webwallet?

If you havent seen puppies already http://bitshares2.cloudapp.net:8080/  same warnings, wallet cannot create account (I bet I have missed something), but nice to get a good feel.

Well...

Uhhhhh, Probably first Windows witness up and running  :)
Witness id: 1.6.4435 or simple testz
Please vote this witness in.

PS: Tomorrow I will try to summarize what I done and maybe will come with small instruction how to build and run witness under Windows

Voted and looking forward those instructions

Also, to help with testing I'm pushing Docker containers for witness and cli in an automated fashion.  I will post instructions on how to join using docker later tonight.

+5% Excellent, it will be nice to have the instructions too on how to create the containers

to help testing, I set up an ubuntu daily build of graphene master
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,18039.new.htm

maybe will help a couple more people get involved in testing

You should go to the play forum, there is a bounty waiting for you. :)

Technical Support / Re: Smart contracts side chain
« on: August 19, 2015, 05:01:46 pm »
If smart contracts are integrated into the block validation process, then they absolutely do impact performance.  It's possible we'll have enough spare resources to run them anyway, but once we start pushing the limits they will drive up transaction costs relative to what they'd be if smart contracts were handled otherwise.

I think smart contracts could be handled more efficiently outside chain validation by multisig.  You could create a smart contract with a distributed set of executors in a multisig account, and they all have to agree on how each action of the contract is executed.  The executors could be the dynamic set of witnesses if there's really that much demand for that.  Decoupling smart contracts from chain validation this way gives both the potential of higher performance, and provides greater flexibility to the smart contract security model.  Some people may be willing to pay for more redundancy/decentralization in their smart contract execution than others have any need for, and this model allows that.

+5%  Excellent. Much better way of decoupling than a full side chain (it removes the complexity, but it achieves similar result). How do you envision the interaction between contracts and block chain, event triggering, etc?

Technical Support / Re: BWAPP (Bitshares web apps)
« on: August 19, 2015, 04:01:21 pm »
That is great news, Ill have a look once you publish something (if not already). Personally I am not after anything BTW.

The main Bitshares wallet is built in React connecting to witnesses using web sockets. In a similar it could provide a simple set of React components that could be easily plugged in any website (for listing, managing assets), business could use this as a basis for further development / customisation of their applications.

The web sockets api / rest api should be provided as a bitshares wallet service, and provide SSO using Oath / 2FA to access the user wallet.

Of course if they don't provide this, another wallet could do this.

K so we get the latest from github and join what node?

Bitshares a part from all this, allows you to register, distribute / (buy and sell) any asset. This can be anything stock in your company, property , etc. This includes internet currency like bitUSD etc.
