I heard about those "change" petitions to not mean that much .. can't tell
But I am 100% sure there have been plenty of those for amazon already

You can already spend bitcoin on amazon.

Gyft.com sells amazon gift cards for bitcoin.
Its pretty cool, you can checkout and go get a gyft card in under 5 minutes.

Purse.io also lets you buy your amazon order with bitcoin, it takes a while but gives a discount.

If you time the price fluctuations lately you can get some good deals.
