Hi Diocletian,

Welcome, welcome, welcome.

Xerox is on the money. I went for the web based wallet because it takes minutes to get up and running.

Hi diocletian,

welcome to the BitShares community.

Unfortunatelly, the BitShares 1 client is quite "heavy" .. depending on your hardware this may take several hours ..

As an alternative I would recommend to use wallet.bitshares.org (which is a light web wallet).

Hey all,
Brand new as of today.  I dl'd the 0.9.3 Windows client.
Starting to setup new account but the client says:
The wallet needs to be fully synchronized with the blockchain in order to create an account. Please be patient.

How long should this take?
Thanks for any help.
