General Discussion / Re: T-shirts/swag ideas

I just hope 'We kill the bank'
without Andrew Jackson's 'contributions' to the economy, by doing so.

Choosing  another idol altogether, is even better idea.

2c.

I want to make sure I follow you on this. Your thoughts are to not use the Jackson qoute because of some of the polices he enacted at the time? I am not suggesting we choose him as a idol as most people will have no idea of any of his polices. I am merely suggesting we use his qoute because its short and powerful. Their is also his name that is attached to it which most people may not know his history but is someone you have heard of before, kinda a star power if you will.

My question to you would be do you have a easily identifiable person who has a short powerful quote. There is, I am sure better options but I just can't think of any(also I love the quote).

I am meeting with my friend tomorrow and I will show him some logos on the site and see what he can come up with along with a price and estimated time of completion.

I think this is a great idea. Frankly I support free trade marketplaces of nearly any kind. I hope some of our more technical members can weigh in on this and how it can be implemented.

Freetrade marketplaces, with a fair amount of anonymity
domain names that can't be seized
bank accounts(with usd pegging) that can't be seized also with anonymous transactions
I am giddy just typing about it.

People may love or hate the silkroad but you can't deny the fact that it really was fuel for the fire that is the crypto scene. This could be a hopefully easy way to have people start using the platform now.

I am not a fan of troll boxes but I think if you are trying to market to "home" day traders, they love this kinda of crap.

With that being said if you are truly trying to make this a business platform their should be no troll box.

'The revolution will not be centralised' seems a bit long to me for a T-Shirt but I see it's really popular and I can't think of anything better.

For BitsharesX, what about Andrew Jackson's famous quote (which is also on his tombstone I believe.)

Quote
'I killed the bank'
- Andrew Jackson

I think that written on the back of a shirt will get a lot of attention. The quote stems from the fact that he destroyed the predecessor to the Federal Reserve...

Andrew Jackson said/did some cool stuff and 200 years later not much has changed....

Quote
Gentlemen! I too have been a close observer of the doings of the Bank of the United States. I have had men watching you for a long time, and am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I have determined to rout you out, and by the Eternal, (bringing his fist down on the table) I will rout you out!

The 2nd quote while amusing is too long for a tshirt.  I like the "I killed the bank" with andrew jackson.  Then on the other side you have a picture of Dan and it says ???

This isn't a terribly serious idea btw.

I love the Jackson quote, Its short and a powerful statement. If I saw that on someone's tee shirt I would be inclined to Google it.

Also if it matters or helps, I have a high school friend that has been screen printing for 10+ years and has a degree in graphic design. As luck would have It I will talk to him tomorrow and I can try to get some cost/ideas from him.

General Discussion / Re: How do I import my AGS balance?
« on: August 03, 2014, 02:06:33 am »
Can we actually import our AGS balance into BTSX or just the associated DACshares?

It's just the associated shares. AGS is not liquid.

If you donated to AGS pre 2/28 you get some btsx at the rate of that day.

I am just simply trying to "claim" the btsx I am entitled to because of my ags donation.

I hope this answer's your question

Check your transaction history.  It should see a transaction from the Genesis block.

Something like 014-07-25T01:39:43 0         GENESIS             riverhead           908.87602 BTSX          claim PpdzTk4N9iGYfy3xtHU....

Yup and I do have one from my pts From GENESIS    claim PsHakVyME6jJNfY8cNYSejB . Here is a link to the ags donation on the block explorer http://www1.agsexplorer.com/balances/1LbGS2DsMSVXme6iQtkwdekndQ1Vok7SQd?view=merged

and that addy is the in the transaction details in my electrum wallet.........but I  do not have any transactions from gensis for any amounts close to the 108k that shows on block explorer.

Ok now I am confused.

Nothing is showing up after successfully importing a wallet that I donated from pre feb 28.  Client says wallet import was a success, I then did the rescan block chain command and waited watching it complete the process. When nothing happened I shut the client down and restarted client but still no btsx. Any idea's what I am missing?

When I imported my pts it was nearly instant, from what I have read AGS should be the same or am I mistaken. I have the transaction saved on the ags block explorer. The address shown in the AGS block explorer is also the same addy I see in my electrum wallet under transaction details.

I am also having trouble importing my AGS donations.

The wallet is electrum.
I saved the private key to the desktop and entered its path in the newest Btsx client ( 0.3.0). I get a error "Error parsing WIF private key". Can anyone give me a hand or shed some light on this for me?

Never mind I think I got it, It said it imported successfully now I  think I just put in wallet_rescan_blockchain and I believe I am good......I think, lol

I agree with the number of brand new accounts and the fact that they are all negative but whats the point, you can't buy XTS yet........
But you can spread Fear such that on launch .. weak handed investors sell their stake low

So we don't want weak handed investor's to sell low :-\? Because I kinda like buying low.

We have had two calls with overstock and have a visit to their hq in August.

This is great news can I ask when did this happen? Do you think maybe it might be big enough news that it would warrant a announcement?
This is a guy is is tech savy, has tons of money and has invested in crypto's  before. I am about half giddy just talking about it :D

Things like this I think would give I3 a nice public relations boast and bring more people to the site and for better or worse get more people talking about BTSX, DAC's,I3 and their whole family of products. Perhaps even a small thread on bitcoin talk just saying letting people know that there is a meeting in place and some of the topics that might be discussed.

This is a BitShares Breaking Event Alert.

Pay attention to the following sites for more breaking information:
  • dacsunlimited.com
  • bitshares-x.info
  • bitshares.org
  • bitsharestalk.org

Can someone confirm where I'll find the most stable wallets and reliable information regarding Bitshares X.  the bitshares-x.info site, looks very professional and encourages me to continue investing (a happy feeling). But, the wallet version is on 0.2.2 (stable version maybe?)

This dacsunlimited.com site has a later wallet version 0.2.3 and has received the blessing of BM along with a higher slot in the pecking order.
but, the site is full of broken links and frankly looks like a hobby coin site, not a product I wish to invest in.

Anyone up for a little "Magic The Gathering Online eXchange".

If dacsunlimited.com  were my first impression of the Bitshares ecosystem, I'd have gone runny months ago. IMHO a big "coming soon" banner with a link to bitshares-x.info would better serve us.
