I think what happened is that when you uploaded the bin file you can choose between wallet model or account model and it probably opened it in the model you did not choose when you created the wallet in the beginning. So look for a tab were you can switch to the wallet you choose in the beginning after uploading your backup file (bin). Then fill in your password again and it should work. Happened to me also. Let me know if it worked.
