Title: Off-ramps?
Post by: Thom on August 13, 2015, 06:01:43 pm
Since the departure of gentso and the shutdown of crytosmith, I find myself wondering what the status of BTS off-ramps currently is. Are there any anonymous or pseudo-anonymous methods of obtaining fiat for BTS or BTC?

Fortunately there are plenty of VPS / hosting providers that accept BTC, so that eliminates one need for an off-ramp. I'm not looking to liquidate my core holdings of BTS, however the economy is very tight and some bills need to be paid in fiat.

So if you know of any off-ramps available currently please reply to this thread along with their basic requirements.

Thx

CCEDK: EUR, USD, etc.  Not a lot of volume yet, hopefully we as a community can change that.  Allows you to be anonymous to trade.  Not sure what you have to do to get the funds, probably register a bank account?

BTC38: CNY.  Tons of volume.  This probably isnt helpful to westerners though.

Poloniex: get BTC, then transfer BTC to exchange or whatever and get fiat.  Decent amount of volume.  Requires you to give your name in order to transfer up to $2000 of coins per day.  Requires full identification with photo id, etc to increase limits further.

You also need heavy metal, or the website is pointless.

I think I stated it before.. but we could likely recover its carcassed remains once BunkerMining starts paying out in real gold/silver. It will take some time however unless some new partnership with a dependable gold/silver supplier etc etc can be sourced.

I think by then though we will be into 2.0 and it will need a major retooling anyways.

It can be dropshipped you don't need the metal.. In fact my plugin emails the vendor that an order was placed so they can prepare to ship goods to customer on your behalf.
