MemoryCoin / Re: [ANN] Coaex - MemoryCoin Gold Exchange
« on: January 10, 2014, 10:30:51 pm »

Weren't coinabul found out to be scammers, who didn't have any stock and just waited until the next price rise to actually send anything. Which was often damaged or otherwise shoddy?

Thats why I think he should reveal his identity or send a vouch

True but they still have an online presence.

Yes, so do lots of scam sites, so what do you think about revealing your identity?

With a little bit of research, you can find my real name, my address and my phone number. It's been on the internet for a long time and it's already posted on my CMO thread.
You just need to learn where to look, I guess.

I do not mean to offend - this is a generally applicable question / obstacle that any new MMC merchant stores, etc, will need to overcome for new users:

How can I or other MMC users trust that website?

Trust is established by time. You guys, can help me in this adventure considering that Coaex will help boost MMC prices but I'm not begging - markets find its own way. I may choose dealing with automated payment systems like BitPay and Coinbase, they are more convenient but then, I had to accept Bitcoin as a payment method and that would be no good for MemoryCoin. Now, there is manual order processing we have with MMC which is risky for the merchant but I'm not complaining. Sooner or later, MemoryCoin will have an automated payment gateway works with Bitcoin or maybe fiat currency.
In short, what I'm trying to do is to drive attention to MemoryCoin while competing against Amagi Metals and Coinabul.

Instead, you announced CMO candidacy in competition to the current CMO team.  I can only assume that you are their enemy.  Do they trust their enemy? Should I trust their enemy? Etc...

I don't mean anything personal - and most people wouldn't even consider this or really need to, but I approach everything from game theory, trust, and stakes, etc...

This is a delusion. Current CMO is not my enemy and will not be. I am here to cooperate with anyone and compete against anyone.

I created a value, presented it to the community, trying to show people how I can handle this position. I respect community's choice for CMO. But do you really think that I won't call help of itsik78 if I am elected? No, I will..

Please explain the double-check system. Would this be a multiple-signature transaction, meaning that for an output to be spent, two or more parties would have to sign the transaction? I think that is badly needed for project organization, including around ProtoShares. I was just thinking how useful that might be. If you can quickly organize coders/resources to create a tool that will do that, you'll have as much of my support as I can muster . . .

Similar but let me explain a little bit.

As a CMO, I have some responsibilities to create demand for MemoryCoin. Therefore I will create projects to accomplish my responsibilities. This will be visible for public with all the details including cost of outsourced work, project deadline, benefits of project, etc. There will be a guideline for creating new projects and will have strict rules.

There will be two parties involving in these projects to vote.
1) CMO team members
2) MemoryCoin community (Practically, this will only be the people who access the project details page, read, understand, study the project details)

Voting will be publicly visible.
Aforementioned parties will have a vote weight (different from our Wallet voting - Each vote counts 1)
CMO team members vote weight = 70%
MemoryCoin community vote weight = 30%

Additionally, community projects will be available and be subject to strictly written guidelines, as well.
In short, this will be like PDCA cycle.
This is something hard to develop but not impossible.

MemoryCoin / Re: Do We Need A New Logo?
« on: January 09, 2014, 11:58:48 am »
I think logo should be diversified. Flat designs are popular recently. There is a gradient color or a shadow effect in the actual logo. I'm not telling it's bad but should be improved.

Adding MMC2 to other exchanges is beyond our control. Besides, it is not rational at this stage. If you check bter volume daily and compare this data with daily minted coins, you'll understand what I mean. In a market with low circulation, it is hard to name a price. According to my valuation, MMC is now worth 0,85 usd. Well, you may call me a dreamer but this is how trade works in real world. My valuation is inversely proportional to the general market price now and will always be until I see a significant circulation. This would take a day, a month or a year. I'll still be working for this community at that time.

In conclusion, adding value for MMC is the officers' duty, not the markets, especially with no fiat options.

MemoryCoin / Payment Gateway Plugin for MemoryCoin
« on: January 05, 2014, 09:01:23 am »
Hi everyone,

I'm running an e-commerce site which is in beta stage currently. The thing I need/imagine is a payment gateway plugin written especially for MemoryCoin 2.0.
This plugin must be compatible with the following:

Wordpress 3.8 + Woocommerce 2.0.20 (and 2.1 version which is planned to be released in January 2014)
Other e-commerce pack integration (Magento, OpenCart, etc) might be good, as well.

There is only a few payment gateways for Bitcoin. These are Bitpay, Coinbase, Mtgox, Bitcoin Payments for WooCommerce (outdated WP plugin), BTCMerch (high commissions) and coinpayments (haven't tried it yet but it looks crappy to me.)

If we (yeah, I mean we, as the MemoryCoin community, if there is one) can implement this feature for merchants, it will boost both the price and the volume for MemoryCoin. CxO guys, I'm not sure what you are doing nowadays but you should consider this idea or the big whales will swallow you badly! :)
