Hello everyone
I would like to ask for some guidance, if it's not too much trouble.
I sent 3060 BTS today, from Poloniex, to my wallet. When I first tried to send them, using the account key as the address, it did not work. I, subsequently, read on this forum that I should send them to my registered account name: "jsh259" rather than to the public address. So, I did this, and the transaction went through, the transaction shows as complete on Poloniex. However, my wallet has not received the coins. It's been a few hours now, since I sent it, and still nothing.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. (-:

Does Poloniex give you a transaction id?
-
Hey, thank you for the help mate.
The transaction ID is: f99548208db5a923aa25907565032d01f3322dde
I just searched for it in the bitshares blockchain, and can see that the transaction seems to be there, whatever that means. I'm not sure why it doesn't appear in my wallet. I have the new o.5 wallet.

Also, my wallet does appear to be fully synced.
Thanks all

Indeed, the transaction did happen: http://bitsharesblocks.com/blocks/block?id=1578886
Are you using the windows wallet? If so you can go to the "console" and type:
wallet_rescan_blockchain 1578886 1
That will rescan that block to check for transactions. If you're on linux or using the command line client you also need to make sure you're walled is unlocked in order to receive transactions.

Wow, you're a legend mate, it worked perfectly.
Now I wish I studied something useful like Computer Science. :)

I just sent you a couple a hundred, a tip. Hopefully, you receive it. Thank you.

No need for that but thanks anyway!
Glad it worked out, was it the rescanning that found it?
-
Yes, the re-scanning found it.
