Title: completed transfer from BTER not showing in wallet balance

This one is scary! Balance got missing.

I transferred some BTS from bter to my bitshares wallet more than 24h ago and I still haven't received the funds.
My wallet balance isn't updated!
The transfer itself seems to be completed since I can see it on http://www.bitsharesblocks.com/

Previously I made transfer from bter before and everything was fine.

bitshares_client 0.4.24 64bit Linux
bitshares_client 0.4.24.1 64bit Linux

what does
blockchain_is_synced
in the console return?

default (unlocked) >>> blockchain_is_synced
true

After this particular command
wallet_account_balance
showed the right and updated balance!

so the issue was that your client did not yet catch up with the blockchain ... some more patience if you haven't opened up the client for some time ..
syncing will yet again be improved in speed in the next release candidate for 0.4.25
