I am looking to reach out to some of the Bitshares Team to find out if we can get an insight to Bitshares for projects we have.
Our core service at Coinstructors is to assist with the development of new digital tokens/currencies.
Asset backed tokens - These new tokens can be backed by raw materials, to commodities such as gold, silver or otherwise. We can assist you peg the value and back the currency.

Compliant Crowd funding - Need to raise finance for your private business. It’s a security so we can help you raise the finance you need through one of our regulated brokers by the issuance of a digital token. Do a fully compliant crowd fund with full SEC knowledge and approval.

You don't even know what BitShares is, do you?

Maybe it's better you don't tell them. It's not going to make them very happy to find out.
If they want a partnership maybe they can work on a front end for Bitshares X or perhaps set up a Ripple Gateway.
