Hi,
I'm trying to migrate my old wallet and as I understood I need the old chain for it (http://docs.bitshares.eu/bitshares/migration/legacy-blockchain.html)
I can't download it from the torrent (http://docs.bitshares.eu/_downloads/BitShares-0.9.3-full-blockchain.torrent) it's stalled on 75%.
Could someone please seed it?
Thank you!

Older versions of the client are no longer hosted on a dedicated server, to be downloaded at any time by anyone who needs to import their bts 1.0?
Surely witness' should be using some of their pay for things like this, can the old wallet versions be downloaded directly from a witness' server somewhere?

Hey szert, check your PMs

This would be really helpful for me.
Thanks

I am also trying to access my shares from this version and migrate to 2.0.
I can open 0.9.3 but it says not connected, I think we have the same problem.
I am guessing if the blockchain was running for this version I could collect my vested balance and then migrate to 1.0 then to 2.0 or maybe skip right to 2.0 I am not sure.

If you have your full balance displaying in 0.9.3c, then you can simply migrate to Bitshare2.
The torrent is for users who's balances are not fully showing in 0.9.3 so we need to update the blockchain manually.

If your balance is not showing then you need to follow this guide :
http://docs.bitshares.eu/bitshares/migration/legacy-blockchain.html
But unfortunately no one is seeding the torrent.

I do not have my full balance displayed, I need to collect my vested balance. I used to do it via the cmd prompt but I have forgotten the cmd I need to use.
I jumped on to torrent download the full chain, which is looking like a bunch of files titled "raw_chain" size is 2.94gigs. Still shows as no seeds but it may just take some time as blahblah7up says he is now seeding. Can anyone confirm that they are able to d/l?
Keep me updated on your situation as I believe we have the same problem.

I currently have one peer connected.

Great news. If your seeding allows me to complete the migration I have np giving you the 20$.

Excellent, Thanks for your help... Downloading now.

Once you complete the download and replace the old chain with the new one (that's in C\Users\'username'\appdata\BitShares on a PC. Probably Library/Application Support/Bitshares on a Mac) and rescan the blockchain, the head block number should be 3832292. Use the console wallet to do the rescan. It seems to work better than the GUI. Here's a Windows user's experience:

Are your vesting balances associated with funds in the Genesis Block?
-
d/l just started for me
-
Great. Yes I have two peer now. Not sure why that took so long to connect.

The reason I asked about vesting balances is because vesting balances should migrate. You should be able to claim the vesting balances you have and have not yet claimed when you are in BitShares 2.0.
See "Vesting Balances" on this page: http://docs.bitshares.org/bitshares/migration/blockchain-transition.html
And I think your idea to claim the vesting balances in the old chain might not work. The command "wallet_collect_vested_balances" creates a transaction and because the chain is dead and there are no witnesses to validate the transaction it probably won't be valid.
If you are sure that you have all your basic funds (without the collected vesting balances I mean) you should be able to migrate and find the vesting balances waiting for you on the new chain.
If anyone reads this and knows this is wrong, please correct.

So what if the only balance I need to collect IS the vested balance?
-
In that case you should be able to go directly to BitShares 2.0, import the keys where you expect the vesting balances to be, and the vesting balances will be there in BitShares 2.0 waiting to be collected.
-
Do you remember what the vesting balances were for? AGS donations? Something else?

Not sure tbh. I was a ags investor and I even had some protoshares. I will head over to 2.0 and see what happens. I only had maybe 7 accounts so it should be easy enough to check them all

Use the console client in your version of BitShares 0.x to export the keys.
wallet_export_keys somename.json
I think users have had difficulty with json files created from within the GUI version.

I was seeding this but must've accidentally removed it, I've put it back up now.
