no the sharedrop on bts and brownies has not yet been done but will be sometime tonight.  The exact time is kind of secret, but i wanted to get the tokens to those who donated first.

any problem if i put my bts in buy order in bts wallet market ??

that is a great technical question i do not know the answer to.  @svk @xeroc @roadscape

The mumble problem was posted on Friday in the mumble forum thread...  kind of surprised something that prevented many users from actually using mumble wasn't tested or addressed prior to this higher profile hangout.   You only get one chance to make a first impression.

Luckily the long term impression I will leave because of my persistance and constant sacrifice for our community will far outweigh a couple hiccups in the beginning.  Not everyone is easily tied to a single impression.  Some can see circumstances and adjust their opinion as needed.  Roger is obviously in the second camp.  ;)

I have successfully shared my KARMA UIA using the Sharebits. Don't spend them all in one place.

General Discussion / Re: Roger Ver Bonus Hangout: (SILVERTICKET Entry Fee)
« on: February 14, 2016, 05:53:40 pm »
I have lots of other work to do,  so I suppose we will have to try again some other day.
Sorry everyone.

Its ok Roger.  We are all busy so we all can very easily understand.  Thanks for making the effort despite such a busy schedule (especially considering it is valentines day--you must have a very understanding wife/ladyfriend!).
With that said, I agree it is best to have a bit more notice, though when you replied with a yes to my request and put up the date as this Sunday, I naturally decided to do away with this protocol (which ironically was implemented last week) to accommodate you and guaranteed busy schedule. However, I guess the protocol is there for a reason and the realities of short-notice hangouts just not being the best of ideas do not bend even if I want to bend them for you :P

This bit me in the ass here.  Kind of like if I jumped off a building determined to "fight gravity".

As for the mumbe info, you may have missed it because I didn't send you it in the email after you gave it to me but in the twitter pm's we had sending back and forth (again during a time when you were likely juggling other things--deduced from when you apologized for the "short replies").  I have gone to the specific message where I gave the beyondbitcoin.org/mumbleinfo page link to you and I can see how it could have easily been lost. Looks like it was sent on Feb 10th.

Again, these things wouldn't have made it so difficult if we were to plan a hangout with, say, 2 weeks notice (my preferred bonus hangout preparation period) because over time I would have likely sent it to you more than once along with other various messages.  However, since our conversations have been like little flashes of lightning that is hard with such short notice.  Thanks for understanding the dynamic here.

Now to what really matters to me: I must reiterate how greatly it is appreciated that you were willing to try to schedule a hangout so quickly despite your busy days. Our community is very pumped to meet you so I will endeavor to make this easy on you and bring them all together to reflect on the seemingly infinite and unexplored depths of blockchain technologies.  Let's set something up for a specific date (longer wait is better than short wait), and I'll gladly guide you every step of the way.  Heck, if you want I'll set it up for you remotely while you sit and drink coffee(rum?) in the morning :P

P.S. To all community members:  I will continue accepting SILVERTICKETs over the course of the coming weeks up until Roger's Hangout.  Who knows...if you guys are lucky maybe I'll play some more ABC's Songs before it starts.  @rogerver Skype and Google Hangouts should be fine as well.  Mumble is set up in such a way as guest speakers can be on skype, google or the mumble client and we can still use the mumble server itself as conference hall.  However I will still be using the Mumble chat to grab questions from mumble.

I want to watch this event.

Where  can I find the link afterwards?

@mirrax it will probably be uploaded here https://soundcloud.com/beyond-bitcoin-hangouts

Yes that is fine.

Just a heads up.  He has not accepted my google calendar invite yet but i do have him telling me on twitter he is interested in a hangout (Sunday) and also giving me his email so i can send said invite.  ill give more details as i receive them, but just so everyone here knows...if for some odd reason he backs out there will likely be a little mini quest to bring our community to action in order to guarantee it DOES happen.

However, if for some reason this is the case, ill ljust pay people their tickets back.

Oh so that means it won't happen this sunday (today) right? I had the idea it was from your OP. Well no problem though, as long as he accepts it

Well it was supposed tonhappen today (in like 30 minutes), but i received no accept to the google calendar invite.  However, im stubborn so i am going to do my best to reach back out.  if this hangout has to take place at another time, that is fine. :)

The Smartcoins POS systems will be launched in 44 languages. I also had our graphics guy make up multi-lingual versions of the window decals for the merchants. Please verify that I translated the "ACCEPTED HERE" text properly. If not, please tell me which language to change, and to what I must change it to.

Good Points.  To make it easier for everyone who wants to attend, I will accept the 100 COPPERTICKET or 1 SILVERTICKET if sent to browniedistro with the memo "Bonus Hangout".

It is not being promoted on social media simply because this is meant to be an event with limited spots.  I am sure if we made it into a big thing it could be, but look at bonus hangouts as the hangouts people get to attend for helping beyond bitcoin grow.

I can do it 1 of 2 ways...i can make it free for our entire community and go for a worker proposal to pay for it...or i can charge for things above and beyond bm's hangout.  Somehow we need to start paying people back for their sacrifices :)

Speaking of which, you can go and buy some (or do the miniquests i give throughout the forums to gai  these tickets...which means if you have more than one...you can sell them to people who didnt help bb directly, but still want to attend. ;)

It's not about making it free for our community or that you shouldn't get paid for your work, it's just that it is a good chance to get people from outside of BitShares to attend and they won't be able to because of the restrictions.

For example if you made it open to everyone and simply asked for donations I'm sure you'd even get more bts and still manage to make it accessible to people outside our community.

But it's your show, you run it.

How much does anyone want to send those tickets to Fuzzy for me? In bts. Or send me 35 coppertickets that I'm missing. How much for those?

well if this hangout goes well perhaps we can have a more open one in the future. but there is more than simply that.

@tonyk sometimes we dont get the choice on timing.  sometimes opportunities seem to arise when we are working hard and they do not give us the perfect set of circumstances.  So I guess rather than worry about that i will instead worry on trying to jump on chaces as they occur instead of waiting forever for the perfect one. :/

Just a reminder we will be holding this hangout with alicia in approx 10 minutes.

It will not be a formal hangout, but rather one where we touch upon what she is doing in the space and how she sees herself helping bitshares as well as how we can best help her in return.

and they made the fastest blockchain on earth...one that even play thought was worth it to integrate.  so to me it seems to have worked out pretty well.  I guess im just happy to see after 2 years we have largely solved bitcoins (and nearly EVERY other crypto's) tx speed and scalability (and did i mention the fastest blockchain on earth?)
to me that is netter than paying people to just dig holes

for those of us who have to work, will there be an opportunity to listen to the recording later?

Yes

I will provide one for...1GOLDTICKET per download!

NB Do not search for them on crytofresh, in the gui or cli...when I say goldentickets are rare, I mean they are rare... as in no one has them.

i must say i really like the way you made the GOLDENTICKET look!

but goldentickets are actually probably going to be used in time for stuff like ad space on beyondbitcoin.org, in our hangouts, or as the only way to get beyondbitcoin tokens, which would distribute ownership of the brand to those who worked hard to buy in with said tokens.

but these things, though not necessarily extremely far off, are still likely 6mo (maybe twice that) to being substantially done.  regardless, with slow and steady progress, I can be content.
