Depends on whether they can get a big enough war (or "terrorist attacks") going to serve as cover excuse for the devastated economy.

Since 1898 was well before 2016 then, yes, the U.S. government has false flag attacked its citizens before then:

 "The growing popular demand for U.S. intervention became an insistent chorus after the unexplained sinking in Havana harbour of the battleship USS Maine (Feb. 15, 1898; see Maine, destruction of the), which had been sent to protect U.S. citizens and property after anti-Spanish rioting in Havana."

If they raise rates.....

They've decided to get underway with the destruction of what remains of the global economy..... or
They're too embarrassed not to.....and will quickly revert back to zero or negative and continue printing like crazy.

Wether they do or don't, we're all circling the drain and eventually the choice will become moot.

I agree with onceuponatime, cue false flags......camoron is itching for war too.  None of them can wait to murder more  babies, 'cause murderin' babies is worth it.'

Of course they wont - they just pretend they will raise it will soon to make everyone believe in the dollar.

If they raise interest rates in any meaningful way, the housing market will crash and we will have another recession. A recession means the government would have to borrow even more, and unlike the last recession this time bond yields are almost negative! Insanely low interest rates and QE are needed to keep yields low and borrowing easy. If the fed raising rates causes another recession, they would be embarrassed to have to bring them back down again.

They are stuck with no options except to do nothing and pretend they are in control.
