To stick with the DAC paradigm..
thoughts?
Just wanted to point out this job fair. It's May 3rd in silicon valley for people looking for jobs in the bitcoin industry.

It seems to me like getting the message of BitShares out to potential developers like people looking for a job in the industry could be even more important than getting the message to typical investors.
Maybe an idea to have a presence at this job fair? Even if you don't find someone to hire, it might not hurt. just a thought.
It was weird. There was nothing substantive at all. It was like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day and decided to badmouth bitshares. I really like LTB but that episode was super sketchy. Kind of disappointing.
1 - Sovryn Tech is not Let's Talk Bitcoin, or on the LTB network.
2 - At Toronto the whisper was "Mastercoin is preparing to pay a big fine for taking less than a million USD in fundraising, and if they had taken more than 1 million it would be not possible to pay the fine and instead has harsher repercussions" - Nobody wants to cause a panic, I suspect Brian was hedging his bets so if something happens to invictus he can say "Well I warned you" but not lock himself into saying the sky is falling if nothing winds up happening. This message is definitely being stoked by the Ethereum people who feel it is a competitive advantage to have set up in Switzerland with whom they have good government contacts.
The problem with Bitshares is they started selling a product before they had one, and have had no problem taking money all along the way promoting whatever is currently being worked on. As such, there are many people who feel they were sold a false bill of goods. Those people can upturn the apple cart pretty badly if they sue Invictus, which will make the project very difficult to complete.
The problem of course with Invictus is there is no escape valve for the funds invested in the venture, so they don't care about investors. They already have the funds. They just want to be left alone to work, which would be fine except they're still taking time to promote and network and pivot the vision based on what they think is right, but it's very seat-of-the-pants and makes me nervous.
Mostly though, I think a lot of us feel like we are trapped. Whether in PTS or AGS, selling now is to your detriment and Invictus can keep this up for as long as they want, individual supporters have no option but to wait.
Maybe they could post on here what they were concerned about? So we can have a constructive discussion.
Pull yourself together community. This is clearly our loss. And even if this instance wasn't our fault, we might as well assume that it is. Ethereum has almost 30 meetups across the globe. We have none. Just contact him ASAP as Adam suggests, and keep up the work to grow our community and improve our presence.
You'll notice that there are almost no one in the Facebook group linked to in the article who has any real understanding of Bitshares. I am sure Adam has noticed such things in many other fora, and this is why we keep pointing this out.
'I agree with IRS' - that should go down well
Its very interesting how you explain Bitcoins. In your view if you have to design a currency how would you go about it? Or, since as you said, anything can be used as a currency, you wouldn't bother?
I think this quote is something you should take note of. It is made by an active member.
May be you should consider promoting the golden goose more than knocking bitcoin. Obviously this is a criticism but not meant in a harsh way. You speak well and with authority over your subject, however, you are their to make friends (investors, players) and catch some publicity.
Most of the people you will be speaking to will be heavily invested in bitcoin and wont want to hear it knocked despite your points being correct. If i was you i would be using the time to explain what bitusd can do and then telling people if they what to learn more to visit the website.
If you still feel its necessary to knock bitcoin then at least point out that it still has the properties of gold as a store of wealth and is easier to transport. There was a quote on Bloomberg recently saying if bitcoin took 10% of the gold market it would be worth 100 times its current value. Now, if that's what bitcoin could be worth without the ability to be used easily as a currency what could bitshares be worth with the ability to carry out evey day transactions in bitusd?
however you decide to play it, good luck. I wish i could b there.
This event has been postponed unless we can find a partner in the industry to take over running it. With the recent events in Bitcoin we felt the ROI was too risky and would take away from a more effective internet effort using the same resources. Brian is preparing an official announcement soon.
Sorry guys I'm not getting it.
What is this post supposed to say?
We should call a DAC a DAC?
A long explanation why we shouldn't use mining?
Or is it just a way to explain The DAC concept?
