General Discussion / Re: bitStash Hardware Wallet
« on: December 13, 2014, 10:51:01 pm »

Short Update: I've contacted Alena from BitcoinTrezor (Satoshilabs) *Hardware Wallet* and i'll try to meet them,
Alena & Stick on CCC event in Hamburg (27.12 - 30.12) in two weeks ...

They are open to BitShares and our ideas about a BitShares Trezor..
but we've have to provide firmware for hardware wallets...

Stay tuned! They are on vacation now ... and hopefully on start of january Stick and Toast will discuss  this more in detail ...

Quote conversation with Alena
Quote
I've had a brief talk with my dev guys and they think you need to do a completely separate firmware for Trezor since Bitshares are not working as BTC. In any case, we can do OEM devices with your own brand during next year. Try to focus on the firmware implementation. Stick, my partner, will be in Hamburg too so you can discuss programming details with him.

Excellent!

I have my trezor empty and I need a Bitshares one ;)

General Discussion / Re: [URGENT] Delegates Please Upgrade to v0.4.26!
« on: December 12, 2014, 09:54:53 pm »
I am at Austin Airport an just realize that I cannot connect to any other port than 80 and 443 .. my machines are still compiling and redownloading the chain .. though I have no chance to switch over to 0.4.26 from 0.4.25-RC2 for quite some hours ...

I hope I will have access to my ssh sessions in LA ..
Anyone can offer a temporary port 80 proxy ssh machine?

I can give you a ssh connection on 443 port, if send in PM your a ssh public key I give you the details how to connect.

I have just updated my three delegates: spartako,spartako1,spartako2

I'm the right fork now:
Code: [Select]
default (unlocked) >>> getinfo
{
  "blockchain_head_block_num": 1246771,
  "blockchain_head_block_age": "6 seconds old",
  "blockchain_head_block_timestamp": "2014-12-12T10:52:20",

  "wallet_next_block_production_time": "5 minutes in the future",
  "wallet_next_block_production_timestamp": "2014-12-12T10:57:20"
}

The only strange thing it is that I obtain PENDING for all transaction that I do:
Code: [Select]
2014-12-12T10:24:24 PENDING   spartako            spartako            0.00000 BTS             publish version v0.4.25                     0.10000 BTS         688498dc
2014-12-12T10:24:26 PENDING   spartako            spartako            0.00000 BTS             publish version v0.4.25                     0.10000 BTS         6cf54335
2014-12-12T10:33:47 PENDING   spartako            spartako            0.00000 BTS             publish version v0.4.25                     0.10000 BTS         714201f0
2014-12-12T10:40:19 PENDING   spartako1           spartako1           0.00000 BTS             publish price feeds                         0.10000 BTS         3715b4c5
2014-12-12T10:40:19 PENDING   spartako            spartako            0.00000 BTS             publish price feeds                         0.10000 BTS         3ed51614
2014-12-12T10:40:19 PENDING   spartako2           spartako2           0.00000 BTS             publish price feeds                         0.10000 BTS         8e29fc31

Anyway when it was my delegate turn these transactions were put in the block that I signed so actually are no more PENDING

Good job, it's showing up on bitsharesblocks :) I'm not currently showing the country field, I'll add it later today. You could also add the description field as well as define your role, that will show up as well. For reference here are the current roles:

0   Development
1   Marketing
2   Faucet
3   Backbone
4   Charity
5   Technical Support
6   Law/Regulations
7   Media/Public Relations

If you add "role": 5 that will show up as "Role: Backbone" on the site, and even be translated to the viewer's language.

I just updated with the field role, it works :)

Thanks for your great work!!

The role fields now look like in the above quote, you should probably update your role to 3 now, sorry..

Updated! Thanks ;)
