General Discussion / What are the mechanics of a "btsx hard fork"?
« on: August 28, 2014, 06:11:48 pm »

People were talking about the 'hard fork' on BitsharesX on the first day.  How do the mechanics of this work?  What was done?

If it's a fork, does that mean a fork in the block chain?...

What types of "forks" are possible, and what are the implications?

Stakeholder Proposals / Hosting Canonizer-Delegate?
« on: August 21, 2014, 04:13:54 am »
Delegates,  I'm possibly interested in hiring one of the more reliable delegates to duplicate what they are doing on a piece of hardware, for a new Canonizer-Delegate.  Can anyone sell me, and let me know how much it would cost?

This Canonizer-Delegate will amplify the wisdom of all participating holders (any holders of BitsharesX who wanted to) of all BitsharesX, and to survey everyone, so everyone can know, concisely and quantitatively, and in instant real time.  A BitsharesX conanizer.com algorithm will be used to verify who the holders of Bitshares are, and how many they have, and so on.  And the vote of this canonizer delegate will always be to do what the amplified wisdom of the BitysharesX crowd wants in a completely non bureaucratic bottom up way.

Founder Canonizer.com

When I was ignorant in all this stuff, I sent my money for my Keyhotee founder id (Brent.Allsop) from coinbase, so do not have the private key for that.

I'd now like to claim the brent-allsop name that I see out there, and start using it, so how can I claim this?

Stakeholder Proposals / How to access Keyhotee founder ID?
« on: August 11, 2014, 03:47:25 am »

I see there is a brent-allsop registered ID in the Genesis bloc.  I'm assuming this came from the Keyhotee founder ID Brent.Allsop.

This is listed as a delegate.

So, my question is, how do I take ownership of this guy so I can start processing blocks with my wallet?

Also, I wold prefer that my delegate be the registered with the name canonizer-delegate.  Is it possible to move the founder ID privileges that came with this to canonizer-delegate?

KeyID / someone squatting on canonizer name?
« on: August 10, 2014, 05:54:39 pm »
I just tried to create an account with the name canonizer.  But it looks like someone is already squatting on that name?

How do I find out who owns that name?  Can I get it?

Is that legal for someone to jump on a name they know someone else will need?

And are periods legal in names?  Can I register canonizer.com?  I just tried, but my wallet gives me this error:

"RPC server error in 'wallet_account_register' unknown account (20006)"

General Discussion / Design and method of implementing a Canon Coin DAC
« on: August 01, 2014, 04:13:07 am »
Bitshareites,

We've started a design specification and brainstorming Google doc for a Canon Coin DAC.  (for more info about this 'smart' currency see: http://canonizer.com/topic.asp/150/6)  As you can see, the two main requirements for this "smart currency" are listed, so any ideas of how best to implement these, and any other ideas are encouraged.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/11_SUjoA1e5Bgf9cHFg0Qmcxmdm8fO9Hff0Ggx_-J798/edit?usp=sharing

If anyone has any comments, ideas (pro or con) on anything being presented, how best to implement things, and so on, it would be much appreciated.  We are particularly interested in knowing if there are any things that would make anyone not interested in such a currency, or visa verse.

Is there enough of a system up and running to get something like this started, and what are the next steps / methods we can get started on?

We are also interested in co-operating with any other DACS.  Might anyone be interested in utilizing these kinds of 'smart' amplification of the wisdom of the crowd process to make decisions to be used to control any other DACS?

And is there anyone out there interested in contributing to the development of such a project.  (Note, you will earn Canon Coins, or we can work out any other kind of compensation, if you wish.)

General Discussion / Beyond Bitcoin LV, where's the buzz?
« on: July 02, 2014, 12:39:00 am »

Folks,

I'm looking for information about the Beyond Bitcion Summet:

http://www.invictus-innovations.cn/ZH/devcon.htm

Where will this be, in Las Vegas?
What hotel is everyone staying in?
What new speakers have been selected?
What else is going on?
Where will most people be eating?
Where will most people be partying?
....

How big is this event going to be?

I feel like I'm missing out on a bunch of stuff.

General Discussion / Open survey for the most popular DAC ideas.
« on: February 11, 2014, 03:47:57 am »
Hello anyone who has any idea for a DAC,

We've started a brain storming open survey at Canonizer.com to attempt to get a measure of popularity of all the various DAC ideas floating around out there.  The goal is also to help people interested in similar ideas to find each other and collaborate on a concise descriptions of each DAC's specs.  This will be possible because of the powerful consensus building structure of the open survey system.

http://canonizer.com/topic.asp/164/2

As you can see, the survey has been seeded with one camp representing a Canonizer Coin DAC.  All you need to do is create a new camp for your DAC idea.  If your DAC would adhere to the BitShare Contract put your camp as a supporting sub camp of the "Supporters of the Angel and Proto Share Contract", like the Canon Coin camp.  Otherwise, you can have the parent camp for you DAC be the root camp.

Everyone can then rank their top 10 or more DACS by joining their camps, in a prioritized order.  This will give a measure of relative popularity of each of the ideas.  Also, supporters can help wiki and improve their favorite camps.

As always, let me know if anyone has any questions, or would like help getting their camp started.  Everything to do with a camp can be changed like a wiki at any time (given the supporters agree, and don't object to any proposed changes during the one week review period, efficiently ensuring unanimous agreement) so if you have any idea at all, no matter how crazy, all you need to do is get a camp started, and let everyone else who supports the idea help take it from there in the very efficient way of the wiki.

Upwards,

Brent Allsop

P.S.  If you want to see all survey topics regarding Crypto Currency, go to the Canonizer.com main page, and select the Crypto Currency name space.  Of particular interest may be topics like this one that seeks to survey everyone to find out what they currently think is the best DAC technology, Bitshares, Etherium, and so on:

I'm working on setting up a windows development environment for keyhotee, Bitshares and stuff.

If someone who has done this before could spend an hour or so helping me with this, it would surely save me a bunch of time.

Oh, and there are some protoshares for anyone able to help out.

Thanks

General Discussion / "Turring Complete" functionality for Bitshare DACS?
« on: January 30, 2014, 01:32:02 am »
Etherium advertizes a "Turring Complete" python subset language their DAOs will be able to be programmed with.

Will Bitshare DAOs have more or less than this?  And what will that be?

General Discussion / Technology to use for Canonizer DAC?
« on: January 22, 2014, 03:29:45 am »

We're working on creating a Canon Coin crypto currency for Canonizer.com.  For a description of the goals see this wikiable google doc:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1l4A-ZqsqDhjmxNtVqNxIiItVbv6HpPbS9WxV_rBRf0I/edit

The competing Crypto Currency competitors include Invictus Innovations technolodgy, Ethereum, Mastercoin, Colored Coins, NxT, and possibly others.  This stuff is all very technically difficult to comprehend, fully, so knowing which is best is not something even very smart people can do good due diligence for.  This kind of theoretical work is an ideal candidate for the amplification of the wisdom of the crowd process that can survey all the best experts to find out what the expert agree is truly the best, and why.

So we are creating a topic to survey for what is the best DAC technology:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bfltL_Ng1NwuXwUjN9GwnK4UEtn-YoyFkZXWjma75lw/edit

The most important thing is this survey is for everyone, not just experts.  If you have a favorite technology, or one you know one more than any other, could you help us wiki the various camps, and possibly support which is currently your favorite?

And if any of you know any supporters of the above possible competitors for being accepted as what Canonizer.com will use, could you please forward this information to them, so they might have their marketing people help out with their respective camps?

Brent Allsop

General Discussion / Canonizer.com DAC
« on: December 18, 2013, 10:14:37 pm »
Canonizer.com is an open survey system that gives shares to people that contribute 1 hour, or $100 to Canonizer.com.  We desperately need to implement a DAC to manage these shares.  Or, people can collect $50, and .5 shares, for one hour of work, for example.

We also want to create a futures system, so people can bet Canonizer.com DAC shares on various theories.

If anyone is able to help with implementing such, as soon as possible, you can earn shares and money.

Fellow Bitshareites,

I'm new to this group, and for introductions, you probably just need to know that I'm the founder of the leaderless, distributed, no censoring, consensus building, open survey system at Canonizer.com.  Oh, and since I met Daniel Larimer in Vegas last week, I'm his (and likely all of you) newest biggest fan.

My question is, how many of you were once Keynesians, and have now been converted to Hayekians, because of Bitcoin, like me? (see: http://canonizer.com/topic.asp/161 ).

If you haven't heard, we are surveying the experts about the future value of Bitcoin over at Canonizer.com.  As you can see, there is still unanimous support for the "Law of the Crypto Coin Camp" showing how all 7 order of magnitude increase in valuations except one took about 6 months:

http://canonizer.com/topic.asp/154/2

I've heard of descanting points of view, but like most mistaken views, they're having troubles getting motivated to start a competing camp, let alone being able to build any kind of comparable expert consensus.

I was the first one in the now proven correct "$1000/BTC in 2013" camp.  Now that that theory has been proven correct, we've converted to predicting when we will achieve a $10,000 valuation.  Who of all of you will be the first in the next to be proven correct theory camp?  The most correct predictors will be used to better predict the next one, and so on....

Also, we are working on an expanded version of the so far unanimous parent "Law of the Coin" camp statement in Google Docs.  We've added a "Predicted Crypto Currency End Game" section.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G2NaqU2ut1yZOd-AT9an6OPlGZJMVGvr214JWtJ373k/edit?usp=sharing

It would be hugely valuable to the world to see, concisely and quantitatively, how many of you true experts agree, or not, with any and all of this.  Do any of you predict something different than, or do you agree with this new end game being predicted in this proposed new version of the camp statement being developed?

Upwards,

Brent Allsop
