Title: Misplaced my backup

I had backup on a pendrive which I lost. If I change my wallet password will that make the backup inaccessible?

Or do I have to transfer the whole balance in a new wallet? I just registered my name and I will lose it if I have to move.

unless you have a strong passphrase you should move your funds somewhere else

Essentially you'll be able to change your keys regularly as a precaution or if you think you've been breached somehow...
