General Discussion / Re: Independence of Witnesses
« on: December 21, 2018, 01:31:32 pm »
BSIP42 was meant to grant **explicit** permission to witnesses to experiment with price feeds more aggressively and improve the "peg".

Of course, witnesses need to stand by their own decisions and can either support or not support such efforts.

+5% for doing marketing.

You'll have higher chances of succeeding with a worker proposal if you were asking bitUSD or bitCNY instead of BTS.
Another quite common requirement by proxies is that you have some sort of escrow group for those funds

I have to disagree with bitcrab and support clockwork here. Same rational

What the heck are you talking about? Could you please explain in clearer words?
Also, please don't swear ..

FYI, I have removed my votes from committee members that have (after 3 weeks) not replied to the proposed fee schedule changes. Pretty disappointing.

Which version client are you guys using?
I have tried almost 10 different "stable" versions recently published,
but almost no one can be used in fact
I wonder who are the manage of the GUI development worker, too bad.

don't worry, I have supported some workers
but I will not support too many workers or witness because most of them are still very unresponsible.

How are workers unresponsible when you can ping them on Telegram, you get answers
here in the forums, on github and elsewhere?

most of them got support only because that they have good friendship with some proxy.

So you are saying because I do my background research and get to know the people I vote (and vouch) for,
They don't get your votes despite them delivering on *their* promises?
Not sure about everyone else, but that doesn't sound about right to me.

How about we set up a workers group (mailing list, telegram, whatever) so you get to know those workers
better and can judge on *their performance* instead of their connection to me?

Technical Support / Re: Bitshares JS market trade history
« on: December 17, 2018, 04:14:36 pm »
This is a query that returns a result for me:

{"method": "call", "params": [0, "get_trade_history", ["BTS", "USD", "2018-12-17T16:13:49", "2018-12-16T16:13:49", 10]], "jsonrpc": "2.0", "id": 3}

It requires the market_plugin to be enabled on the backend. Try against "wss://node.bitshares.eu"

Xeroc,
On behalf of the DEXbot Cabinet (Permie, Gabe, Kevin Messerly, CryptoKong, and Cryptick) we would like to ask for your support for the "DEXBot WP2 Liquidity for the DEX" Worker Proposal. We feel as though we have made great progress, and everyone at BitShares will benefit as continue that work, bringing greater liquidity and trading volume to the DEX.

The Proposal is live on the Blockchain.

I love the work and passion you've put into this .. support!

Try this format:

note that **T** in the middle

I think everybody have learned from the mistake that margin call price shouldn't higer than market price.
please vote out those witness still manipulate the feed price.
@xeroc @openledger @michaelx
Agreed.
My motivation to not act is purely based on the desire to not cause a global settlement on bitCNY.
I do intend to act once the dust of latest market moves has settled a bit

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Fee Schedule Proposal] - New fee schedule
« on: December 17, 2018, 12:30:09 pm »
Understood. Then I agree with the schedule. And if the smart tech guys tell me @xeroc's scripts work accurately then I support.
It did not. Though it wasn't my fault :D
The scripts used the core exchange rate to derive a BTS value from USD value. That makes sense because it meant that people actually paying fees in bitUSD would pay the correct amount, and BTS is slightly cheaper.
However, due to global settlement, the CER is not at GS price.
I fixed that and expect to revert back (the script) when bitUSD is out of GS again
