DAC PLAY / Re: PokerChips: Hosting Fair RNG Sessions

Awesome! :)  Online poker is the reason I found out about BTC.  Would this forever end the rigged RNG debate?

I can use some help.  I can find my transactions on AGSexplorer but the address doesn't show up in my Electrum wallet.  How can I see or prove they are my addresses?

If you put in 10 bitUSD, you'll get back 10.5 bitUSD in a year. You're saying that for some reason you expect BitUSD/(USD + premium) to go down in that time as well. But whole point of BitUSD is that the market is supposed to be constantly pushing it back towards the real BitUSD/(USD + premium) by trading value in terms of BTS.

In the case of shitty corporate bonds the company loses value and so you don't get 5%. In the case of BitUSD the short position covers your losses "behind the scenes" out of their collateral.

Of course they should be careful with advertising nonetheless

Hmm, I thought I was clear on this.  Where can I read about how they keep the market prices in line?

Because these never mature premium when you still is the same as the premium when you buy

Sorry, I'm not following you.  Are you saying I will sell at the same price that I bought at?

If you only paid 90 cents for it and the interest rate didn't change then you would only be able to sell your 1.05 BitUSD for $0.945 and thus your return would still be 5%

But $0.045 on $0.90 is 10.5%.....

I think I'm missing something.  If I buy it at 90 cents and wait a year and I have to sell it at 85 cents +5%, now I have a loss of .83%.  I may have made 5% in interest but price depreciated by 5.56%.  If it acts like a bond then I don't care about the coupon, I care about the total return. In this case my total return was negative.  What's missing?

Your return was negative because you assumed BitUSD depreciated by 5 cents

Yes I know that.  My point is that I'm not sure advertising that you can earn 5% is correct.  I can find you any number of corporate bonds that have interest payments of 10+%, does that mean you are going to yield 10%?  Of course not.  The price is well above par and when it matures you find out your total return is actually 0.84%.  Please help me understand why I'm wrong.

Too many PTS donations already today. :-\

The AGS price may rise due to the Feb 28th announcement. You might want to re-evaluate your strategy.

FYI, I am not diluting my PTS - mostly for sentimental than logical reason (I have 2:1 PTS:AGS)

I'm at 2:1 as well.  About two more decent AGS trading days are all I need to hit my BTSx goal.  I guess I just have to be patient.

If Feb 28 is the final snapshot, then AGS is converted to BTS at about 3.5:1.  Every fail means a new snapshot is taken and the ratio lowers.  Correct?

*[…]  Is anyone going mostly all in with angel shares?

Ask that guy who donates 10 BTC nearly every day  :)

How do you know he's allin?  Maybe his net worth is like a billion dollars.

Hi guys.  I'm not very technically savvy, so I'm a little nervous about donating PTS/BTC.  Once I donate, then what do I have to do?

Assuming you donate from Bitcoin Qt or ProtoShares Qt and not from an exchange, all you have to do is backup your wallet.dat file.

Then I just wait for my AGS and BTS to appear in my wallet?

Thank you for handling that toast one PTs tip coming your way. When I get back to my wallet.

Hi bytemaster,

Is there a list of the projects in the Invictus pipeline with a general description?  It just seems like a large % of the present value of PTS will always be the quality of the prospects in the pipeline, correct?

You can only sell to someone who is OK with another party knowing the private key.

donschoe is doing a thing where he buys a bunch of AGS and then will manage them all on behalf of other people in a market. That way each person only has to trust donschoe.

So I guess it's possible for an exchange to be created, but there's a ton of trust risk associated with the trade.  The buyer is taking on the risk.  Ok, so for this reason, no exchange (ie.Cryptsy) could ever trade AGS.
