Could you try again? Maybe creating another wallet and importing the keys and claiming the balance again.
Are you on chrome/firefox ?
Chrome,l ll try with previous back up.
by the way l hope l not stealing your precious time l m not really familiar with this kinda things.
so sorry.

Don't worry, still I am going to bed very soon :)
l finally managed to import keys but my balance showing nothing ,zerooo

With the new or old backup?
did not accept the old one but new one, first asked me if l like to import xx amount then l accepted now it shows my two accounts with zero balance
I am going to bed, in the meantime you could follow my instructions to Ermes in this thread, starting from here http://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=19944.msg256574.msg#256574

Download the full blockchain.
Replace the chain folder.
Type "rescan 1" (it could take a while, check the progression info)
When the rescan is done, Export keys.
Create a new bitshares2 wallet, import the latest keys, claim balance.
will do, l really appreciate. have a good one
thanks

If you have only 16 keys in the backup, it could be possible that is only 5kb...in the end is just a text file with private/public keys in it (sort of)

You have created a new wallet, imported the keys, and then clicked on "lookup balances" right?
Does it show you something?
no it does not show anything other than just loading balance claims and it has been more than 30 mins still nothing

I think it depends on how many keys you have.
It should not take too much tho.
16 keys.l know l give u headache but why this json file just 5.23 kb?

Are you sure it is not 5.23 MB? Check on file properties.
yeah positive.5.23kb

Try with wallet_export_keys C:\bitshares093c.json
To write to C:\ it could be needed to run the bitshares client as Administrator.

If you prefer, you can save it on the desktop (or everywhere you want) with wallet_export_keys C:\Users\*yourusername*\Desktop\bitshares093c.json
l have now backed up and imported to web wallet, last Question, how long does it take to load balance claims?
