I notice that in the new wallet, "Life, Liberty, and Property for all" is highlighted under BTS when in the asset column, but BitUSD only gets "1 US Dollar". Why not make it more familiar and put on it "E Pluribas Unum" ? Just a simple suggestion. Or is there legal recourse from taking that step?

I guess this is done to avoid confusion, before your post I've never heard of "E Pluribas Unum"
I guess the KRW notes, also have some Korean saying on them, which we would have never heard of.

That's funny. Maybe I stand alone, but I thought most American consumers knew that was on the dollar bill....

Maybe they do - but if you think about it carefully, in the countries where bitshares can do the most good, the people have probably never even held a dollar in their hands, yet having the freedom and stability of it would be greatly useful to them.

Good point. Still think the "E Pluribus Unum" is a good idea...

"1 US Dollar" describes the value that 1 BitUSD should be pegged to.

isn't that implied by the name "BitUSD"? I thought it was...

My understanding is that the description is intended for things like gold, silver or gas, where it can be used to describe which of multiple available price metrics are considered normative.

How about add a countries slogan for the asset in the native language, and english or for the US Latin, plus English
USA: In God We Trust
China: Reform and Open Up
UK: God save the Queen and the Public Houses To!
etc..
Could be any slogan
