Just saw this thread, but created OPEN.LISK for Ronny earlier today to allow pre-sale trading.

if openledger does not spend own funds to kickstart this market, we could do the auction on OPEN.LISK/OPEN.BTC

with this said if ronny wants to do it on his market i would charge 1% for my time. If openledger is not paying this, i would
take it out of the collected rewards from the contributors. This will lessen the wins for the contributors.

so keep posting your LISK you want to contribute :D

Contributer: LISK

i missed this post https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,22035.0.html and i like the idea to make an auction form @Erlich Bachman

i invested something in Lisk, too and to get some exposure from this ICOs i like the idea!

i will create an asset to make this happen and i will contribute 2000 Lisk for this auction.

i would like that we could setup an escrow account and the community members who are willing to send their Lisk could send some bitshares assets as colleteral for their promise that they will send the Lisk.

if you are willing to send some Lisk just post here how many.

i think we should start with the auction offer and promotion on Thursday and the auction will ending before the official start of the Lisk blockchain.

so for this crowdsale to make it fast, we will do it this way

1. post how many Lisk you will contribute for the auction. (ADD your LISKS to the contributers before you post the whole list again)
2. we will decide on Thursday/Friday if we will do the auction
3. if yes, we should setup a community account of 3-5 people who are in charge of the collateral
4. we need to promote the auction outside of bitshares

So, the idea is that people of our community contribute some LISK into an auction fund. The pair we would buy the LISK would be LISKasset/METAEX.BTC.
The collected fees for using METAEX.BTC will be enough to compensate for the time i put into this idea.
on a specific day we will buy all the offers from the internal exchange as many LISK we got promised. After the LISK chain is live, the LISK will be
send to my account and i will manually send to each buyer the LISK they own.
(better would be if monsterer could make LISK as a bridge available, but right now he is really tight with Reallife business so he has no time to do it right now)
- after all transactions are settled the contributers will get the collateral back and the earned funds for the sold LISKs.

I will do the same for WAVE, so everyone who is interested in this promotion idea, should consider to invest some funds in WAVE on 12th and chip in some funds.

cheers

there is no information availalbe how their servers got compromised, so pure speculation, but i say - yes!

The server-side wallet storage was not part of the proposal, but something we felt was necessary to backup/secure user funds. We do not yet have confidence in the reliability of server-side storage to enable this feature. There is a significant about of liability associated in offering to host/backup user wallets.  We don't want to be responsible for the loss of funds.

Why not backup wallets directly on the blockchain? Along with a hash of the owner's email for easy lookups later. And maybe some random noise.

Forget servers, we have a blockchain!

How about this...
Throw a bunch of different random numbers and other noise (maybe even the brainkey too?) into a json file, then compress it, encrypt it, base58 encode it, and throw that single text string into a memo. then, there is your backup. just call it up via wif, throw your key at it, and voila'... would that work? It would only cost a few BTS to store it as a transaction in a block too (for LTM's of course). For extra security, make a second backup. Yes? No? Horrible idea?

Hiring (and having to constantly trust) a backup server company is a huge expense and risk that Bitshares' name does not need. I think we should leverage the tools that we already have as much as possible. We have the most scalable chain on earth, let's really show it off!

this would be awsome!

how likely is it, that someone could entcode my password?

in general i think this project is interesting, but for me and maybe the most people here it is not clear which steps you need to make
the solution for the future.

1. Do you need funds to develop software solution or what will you do exactly in which timeframe ? I read the whitepaper, but it to general
to understand it.
2. If this is the general start for the crowdsale it is not a good post to get the people to send funds.

I just thought today if you succed with the landregistration process, would it not possible to give the landowners direct access to the
bitshares community to loan as the land as collateral? My thought was, that many people are looking for good investments and if i understand
it correct - to get a fair loan it is also difficult. So what would you hold back to make it possible to registrer the land and the owners could now
directly seek for loan funding from this community? I think the interest rate would be much lower then a lokal interestrate could be provide.

I am a regular user of kiva.org and i am always wondering that the people have to pay 15% interest and i get 0% of it and the agency between us, gets
all this stuff. If this could be done in a different way i think the interestrate could be much lower.

i just listen to Troy Carters interview https://soundcloud.com/innovationcrush/119-troy-carter-an-empire-built-on-empathy
shortly after 30 minutes he asks for businessplans.

thought would be maybe a guy you want to make contact. Founder of http://atomfactory.com/about/

interesting project!

in your whitepaper you show how much you need to spend, but not how you will make money. Do you have projections or
information how you will make money?

86
why is the Threshold 100%?

i would really like to see, that you get this funds, but the failure is the bad design of the worker proposal.

would it be not better to set the threshold to 60%?  now this, funds are locked if jakub is not coming back.

pls choose a better threshold next time.

--

what i don't get is, that the committee decided to pay the funds to make 0 fees happen, and CNX said everything is fine, and without information of the committee CNX and you decide to push this feature back. i don't get why this is handled this way. This is not a call of CNX to decide.

@abit

thanks for your hard work, you are 1 great asset this community have and i hope you will tackle more stuff
in the future.

it seems this is the behavior of mankind. Watch what other people are doing and judge them. in bitshares it is just
to easy to do it. So maybe this is the major flaw in the idea of easy names. Makes it also easier to follow every transaction.

i would prefer to keep the masses stupid and that everybody have the feeling like bitcoin. the are not "traceable" -- haha!

do you know what it mean if you have "http://cryptofresh.com/u/committee-account"
as your proxy?

i see many accounts are doing this, but the committe-account are not voting, so why does people use the committe-account as proxy?
