MemoryCoin / Re: [BOUNTY] MMC pool - ATM 1150 MMC
« on: December 24, 2013, 07:18:56 am »
That would be a good idea. Would this work with Ubuntu or only linux at the moment?

Would appreciate it if someone could post a quick tutorial on how to start mining, would like to add some hash power to the pool.

Thanks and great job!
I'm running it under ubuntu

wget "http://mmc.xpool.xram.co/assets/files/memoryminer.tar.bz2"
bzip2 -d memoryminer.tar.bz2
tar xvf memoryminer.tar
cd memoryminer
cd src
make -f makefile.unix
./memoryminer -poolip=mmc.xpool.xram.co -poolport=1339 -pooluser=<your MMC wallet address> -genproclimit=<number of cpus>

ok, so this is why i was confused

i have been watching 111 for about 15 minutes

so, how are you running this under ubuntu?  do you just mean running it while it's not working because server is down?

I'll look at it, if the loss isn't too much I may just move my stuff sooner rather than later.  Actually here very shortly I will have an extremely large number of machines.  I really hope you can figure it out and get close to the speed of ypool.  I'm not too concerned with the frequency of payouts being lower.  I just need the daily income to be relatively close to what I'm getting currently.

I got about 20% more c/m from that other mining client, but the pool charged (I believe) 2% more, plus the miner would reset itself somewhat frequently, so you'd lose an additional x% from the 'free 20 seconds' that occurs at the start & every time it does reset, in the end probably something like 7-8% fee.

Well, i used to get about 20% more that is, the one @ https://github.com/girino/ptsminer.git , is about 10-15% less, but I'm still trying some things with it

(eg, Q6600 @ 2.4MHz gets me 65c/m now instead of 60c/m, but that one was compiled with icc, which took quite a while.. oh,   i haven't tried it yet on something w/ avx, that should be more %)

i have noticed more rejects though, just in general from the last few days

is about 5% faster

I got accepted in this google compute, but then after setting it up, they killed stating my project was not the kind they wanted blablabla...
Did that happen to you guys too?
interesting

no, I just got a message saying that it was full after I finished putting my credit card in a few spots

I opened a dispute with the BBB a few days ago

i stated clearly what i was going to do with it, the acceptance letter makes no mention of there being a limited quantity (before receiving the acceptance letter im sure that's mentioned somewhere, but not relevant here)... oh, and the (probably?) form letter also stated something about applications reopening in january.   my reply was something to the tune of it doesn't matter when applications reopen, i've already qualified.  i didnt get a response for 5 business days & that's when  i filed with the BBB, google apparently has 'satisfactory' resolved all 5000+ complaints

put your cc into two diff spots = bait and switch

MemoryCoin / Re: Client doesn't sync after 0.8.54 update? Do this!
« on: December 19, 2013, 02:13:43 am »
Thanks zvs. I've setup some nodes to help people connect, but they might not do the job well. I definitely never saw 900 nodes connecting to any of them. I'll ask our new CNO to figure out how to re-configure the nodes I've created.
There's ~100 people on each right now.  The default maxconnections is 20, I believe.  Just have to change maxconnections=<x>

OK, I finally got connected to someone, so I put two real nodes up at:

198.12.127.2

68.232.188.226

they have 900 connection limit (since bitcoin doesnt use epoll, anything over 1000 = crash)

when downloading blockchain initially it's faster to set maxconnections=1 and just connect to one of them

Try adding the nodes from the first post: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1444.0

none of those work, additionally none of these work:

addnode=180.183.156.250:1968
addnode=76.24.94.154
addnode=62.43.2.239
addnode=82.52.177.81
addnode=84.249.109.128
addnode=79.3.168.143:1968
addnode=94.122.229.201:1968
addnode=118.210.212.90:1968
addnode=70.112.30.253:1968
addnode=95.89.105.134:1968
addnode=209.12.233.40:14210
addnode=79.113.210.250:51653
addnode=62.142.165.113:49646
addnode=86.106.35.224:1968

MemoryCoin / Re: [EXCHANGE] MMC
« on: December 18, 2013, 10:17:31 pm »
We could use google docs to create a temp exchange until one of the major exchanges add MMC.
Probably be a better idea to actually be able to connect w/ the client, before worrying about exchanges
