I see another downside to AGS because what if your AGS wallet gets hacked.  They get all shares of your future DACS!  I'm investing in PTS because of this.  For a measure of safety.

there's an AGS wallet? I was under the impression that the PTS private key will be used to redeem AGS, and that AGS is non-transferrable.

Thanks!
Did you mean that

is a much more profitable way into BitsharesX. However, for future DAC
with respect to future non invictus DACS ? And why?

I meant I3 DACs or I3 affiliated (who use I3 copyrighted code). But as I said in the next post if you see the number of DACs gained per unit BTC, AGS still remains more profitable.

Non I3 DACs apparently should honour only PTS, but I see no compelling argument for them to do so.

It can be a form of advertisement, offer a small bonus to PTS holders, and get them on board. Kinda like all the forum giveaways, except there's no need for someone to manually give away small amounts of coins, it's become automatic if you hold PTS.

What will happen to PTS mining when BTS comes out? People will turn to mining BTS I guess, because exchange ratio for PTS with BTS is 1:1

* exchange ratio is not 1:1
* there's probably no mining in BTS

PTS mining will just go on like normal

General Discussion / Re: Is NXT legitimate?
« on: December 26, 2013, 12:04:44 am »
ok I spent a few minutes researching more about NXT, it seems to me another quarkcoin/ripple type scam, where the creator(and his buddies) holds vast majority of coins, and only releasing tiny amount of coins, to prop up the price and create an illusion of massive market cap.

Who knows how many of these people are insider/buddies of the creator? or maybe even the creator himself? I hang around alt coin forum all the time, and I didn't really notice this project. Plus who would send 21 BTC to an unproven project that has nearly nothing? only insider and his buddy would do that. Nobody in their right mind would send 21 BTC to this project to become a "distributor" at the start, only a person that is on the inside would do this, since the BTC would come back to him, therefore he's taking no risk.

The "distributors" now start pumping NXT with buzz words like "next generation crypto", "descendant of Bitcoin", plus a whole list of vaporware features that doesn't even exist, and give tiny amounts to everyone for free, and get everyone interested to prop up the price. The whole thing smells like Ripple 2.0, minus the working exchange.

There's nothing new in NXT in its current form, though if the developer come through with his promise of continued development (at least a working decentralized exchange), then it may have some merits, but as of right now, it's just a scam. The announcement post reads like a scam too:

BitShares PTS / Re: Keeping track of projects that make use of your PTS

I think exchange rate alone is a misleading number and can lead to you promoting scams. Instead you want to list % of genesis block allocated to PTS.

According to the list, this is a bad deal (but it is actually a very good deal):
1000PTS converts to 1 coin, but PTS makes up 100% of the genesis block

And according to the list, this is a good deal (but is actually a very bad deal):
I'll make a coin that gives 1,000,000 coins per 1 PTS. But PTS will only take up 0.1% of the genesis block, the rest goes to me.

I'm not sure how that percentage is calculated. Is it always the case that % of genesis block is allocated to PTS? I think everyone realize different DAC/coin have different value, and they can calculate the percentage based on a case by case basis.

Exchange rate is totally irrelevant. You can't tell if it is a good deal or bad deal just by the number of coins they will give you per PTS. The only number that matters is the % of the money supply that will be dedicated to PTS (which is directly a function of the % of the genesis block and final total supply of coins). It is always the case that a % of the genesis block will be allocated to PTS

I'm proud to announce the first distribution for ProtoShares owners.

ProtoShares owners collectively will receive a 1% stake in the relaunched MemoryCoin - MemoryCoin 2.0.
This is at genesis block, not final stake (I believe)

I am going to chime in here with some clarity for all involved.

1) All chains Invictus launches will be derived from ProtoShares with a 1:1 mapping and 10% of the ultimate money supply of that chain.
this is at final stake.

So there's two percentages, one is percentage of genesis block, the other is percentage of total supply? but then there are coins with infinite total supply.

Maybe you should add the conversion rate for each DAC.

Memorycoin 2.0 for example exchanges 10 PTS for 1 MC.

That, I think, is a major flaw in the PTS design. If I wanted to create a DAC and keep PTS holders out of it, I just define "1000 PTS = 0.0001 MyDACs". I thought to any new DAC applies: 1 PTS = 1 NewDAC. Obviously I got something wrong. Again.

Good idea, added.

BitShares PTS / Keeping track of projects that make use of your PTS
« on: December 17, 2013, 01:45:23 am »
This thread is to keep track of projects that accept the PTS social contract, which allow you to import your PTS to obtain something (most likely they will also accept your AGS too). Please let me know by reply or pm me, if you found a new project that isn't listed here.

The format is as follows:
Full name of project
Announcement date
Exchange rate
PTS block (you must have confirmed balance at an address you control, when this particular PTS block is mined, to be able to receive anything)
Project links

Bitshares Merger (3i PTS support is officially ended at this snapshot, 3rd party support may or may not happen in the future)
2014-11-05
100 BTS per PTS
Block 81,579

Bitshares Play
2014-11-05
TBD (PTS receive 10% of all play currency)
Block 81,579

BitShares Music
2014-09-26
"Notes" - Unknown rate. 35%/35% PTS/AGS
Block 81,021
Official site (Client not released yet.)

Bitshares KeyID (DNS)
2014-08-01
1 PTS for 1176 KeyID (DNS) currency
Block 72,695
Official site

Bitshares Voting
2014-08-01
TBD
Block 72,695
TBD (client not yet available)

LottoShares (project abandonned, do not redeem)
2014-07-15
1 PTS for 7.08 LTS
Block 65,959
LottoShares bitcointalk thread
LottoShares lottoshares.org

Bitshares X
2014-02-18
1 PTS for 644 BTSX
block 57,787
Bitshares-x.info
Getting started with Bitshares X

MemoryCoin 2.0
2013-12-10
10 PTS for 1 MMC
block 32,000
MemoryCoin2 bitsharestalk
MemoryCoin2 bitcointalk

So basically you are floating another 10% of bitshares by issuing Angelshares? this is in addition to the 10% allocated to PTS

I have gotten my MMC from using my PTS wallet. But now some MMC says "immature", when will these mature?

I caught this late and went to move my PTS from Bter to my wallet... They had 0 confirms as of block 32000.  What does this mean for me?  Will my PTS wallet get the Memcoins since my balance wasn't confirmed in time?

If the coins were not at your address with at least 1 confirmation on block 32000, then you didn't make it.

那就设一个长密码。长密码,到了20位以上,完全随机的字符,是无法破解的。就像挖矿一样,要专业才行啊。

至于记录键盘,如果系统干净的,一般应该没问题。实在害怕的话,你下载个软键盘不就行了。
