« on: March 07, 2015, 09:14:18 am »Hi everyone. I have lost hope in bitshares due to the extended failure of the community to come out with a good product. Repeatedly, I have seen a poor understanding of what makes a good business and a good product.
To save bitshares I think you need to focus on and come out with one, key, killer feature that will increase adoption and open the door to all the other features later. The feature I think you should focus on is making a true decentralized exchange, as I have said before. By true decentralized I mean an exchange you can send real bitcoins to (and other popular cryptos) and then immediately exchange them for other coins. No gateways, no bridges, at least not from the point of view of the user. Just directly to the client.
I saw a little bit of talk about this earlier and it got me excited that at least others are thinking the same thing. Devs, I hope you do this or something like this and I hope you do it soon or else someone else will. Yes, I know it's complicated to implement, but it is what is needed and bitshares is in the perfect position to bring it to the world because you are already on that track. I'll be watching. Our third official meetup here in Minneapolis and we're just getting started!
Roadscape and I gave a brief slideshow presentation on BitShares and are continuing to perfect our BTS pitch.
An intriguing conversation ensued which spanned the vast dimensions of crypto, and the unique position which BitShares occupies.
The word is going out further and wider with each meetup, and we're seeing repeat attendees.
We are beginning to reach out to other techy / finance oriented local Meetups and anticipate some good results from such 'cross pollination' between other groups with mutual interests.
Future meetups will focus more intently on getting folks to download the client then and there, using the faucet, so watch out rgcrypto... we're coming for that number 1 spot.
Stay tuned for further updates and information on the next meetup!

Yeah, there are some small details. Personally I could care less about the casual two-button style, or how much chest hair is showing.
For me it's more the yacht club symbols and tiny text which is distracting to have on when trying to explain complex topics such as these.
The human eye is involuntarily drawn to attempt a read.
That said, these are details which scarcely detract from the immense benefit these videos provide.
Watch them on repeat until you too can explain everything with ease, this is a working template for a small army of bts evangalists to learn from and build upon. Meetup organizers take note!
