General Discussion / Re: Forking bitshares

It was good to chat briefly on the mumble session, and hear about your vision.

I am a huge advocate of open source hardware and it seems incredible to have allies such as you in the field!

I have been following the work at Studio Kosagi: http://www.kosagi.com/  The Novena laptop in particular, quite a feat.  I'm sure you must be familiar... another talented crew to collaborate with.

Everything else has mostly been said.  I agree with fuzz that the importance of building a foundation on open hardware is key to our long term survival, and I see it as a huge priority.

And this...

The possibilities are endless once you're willing to commit code to metal.

Let's explore those possibilities!

haha, well to be fair you weren't entirely mistaken, as Yarah and DJ Vadim are fairly inseparable.  He holds down the beats, and she's more of the lyricist.   8)

I especially like your choice of models and photo shoot settings.   8)

The t-shirts look great too!

We're definitely open to suggestions from the community, so thanks for the feedback!

You have me thinking of crocheted/knitted beanies with the bitshares logo on the crown.... if only I were quicker with yarn and hook...

Well the sky is the limit.  Since you're a little slower with the yarn and hook you'll just have to charge more for your one of a kind pieces :) or find other merchants who are interested in accepting Bitassets.

I promise more attractive models for the other 94% of the audience. ;) which makes me wonder, do we have any sense of the gender 'balance' among the BitShares community thus far?  Curious.

I don't know, I'll introduce myself and if she's interested in this project i think it's highly negotiable.  She's independent so it depends on her perspective.  Like any artist she may ask a fair price for her creations, but there's a lot of leeway here, and potential for alliance.  This is real hip hop after all, no strangers to the communities of liberation.

Word up to future artistcoin holders. ;)

Here's another keeper.
It's pretty big and uptempo, brace yourself and prepare to be surprised... can that be done?

I was just seeing a really sweet BitShares video in my mind to this tune... quick transitions, rhythmic power to the people motif, informative titles on the beat, whirling and celebratory, way of the future, people working together.

I want to reach out to Yarah about using this track for a sweet video, but first I want to run it by the local community of music heads and see what you all think about this track.  Anyone object to a friendly alliance with Miss Yarah Bravo?  She's independent and she's quite aligned with the BitShares vision.

Dig the lyrics.  Wisdom.

Serious deja vu while writing that last line, have we already been here? ;)

This one might be for a little later... like at a certain festival in the desert...

again, listen to the lyrics.

I am in for a shirt ..

One remark on payment: As I use the CLI version I copy/paste receiver/memo .. I do this by double-clicking accountname and memo. For the memo However, the "." at the end is also selected and has to be removed manually after pasting.

Thanks! Nice to see you're keeping it real on the CLI.  I can guarantee roadscape will make a point to fix the "." at the end, that's just the kind of guy he is.  :)

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Elect our team delegate - media.bitscape
« on: January 21, 2015, 06:48:00 am »
Greetings Friends,

Thanks to all your support our first delegate is in!

We've now officially launched provisional.bitscape as our second 100% paid delegate.

Please act now to approve provisional.bitscape so we can continue our momentum!

We will direct funds as disclosed in our Financial Plan, with utmost transparency.

Highlights of our work so far:

cryptofresh.com is officially open for business, becoming the first store to accept a full spread of BitAssets!
T-Shirt Sales are now live!
→ We are beginning work with a whole range of makers to offer a wide range of products available for sale in BitAssets while building a community which is invested in the propagation and success of BitShares.
Our referral program is also live!  Sales from cryptofresh support the community!

Check out our official cryptofresh announcement for details.

→ Local outreach and adoption efforts in our own diverse community continues! Twin Cities BitShares Meetup
Meetup.com is just the tip of the iceberg.  We are forming alliances with many local groups able to spread the message of BitShares far and wide, but they need our support.

We are now turning our attention towards priming the system at our media creation laboratory.
By approving our second delegate, you can help us fire up production at bitscape.io!

Now is the time to take action, and approve provisional.bitscape, our booster rocket for BTS victory!

General Discussion / Re: My Experience with Cryptofresh.com

Some sort of order confirmation would be great. Maybe a simple page that uses the account name or a return transaction with a memo containing a conformation code you can put into the site to see order status and tracking numbers.

I definitely want to get something like this implemented.  It's just a matter of time.  And when roadscape decides he's ready to open source everything, a lot more features will arise from this amazing community i'm sure.  :)

Look into drop shipping.

Thanks for the reminder!

We're definitely interested in leveraging the magic of drop shipping.

Currently we are reaching out to a handful of artist / maker types, and helping them get set up with the BTS Client.  Many of these folks are willing to accept BitAssets for payment so we can start building a network of small producers who are actively interested in building and supporting the BTS ecosystem!

Basically the rebel alliance is forming. ;)

Buying a physical item (t-shirt) online without logging in or giving them any of my financial information was very cool. It will take some getting used to and until you've gone through it the impact doesn't hit you fully.

We were able to execute a transaction for goods and shipped to an address I maintain at a UPS store. They don't know and don't care who I am, where I actually live. The payment processes nearly instantly and we go our separate ways.

This is EPIC!

Thanks Riverhead!  I'm glad it was a positive experience.
We're happy for any usability or other feedback that the community would like to share.
We'll be working to make the process even more streamlined in the days ahead!

We are also in the labs getting ready to unleash a whole range of other BitShares related gear.
Also, happy for any suggestions in this regard, to gauge interest. :)

Cheers!

Are there going to be larger sizes? Hats and mugs will be nice too.

We can certainly print larger sizes when we do the next run.
We'll need to sell through most of the existing shirts first, we had 100 printed.

Hats and mugs are definitely in the queue!

We're definitely open to suggestions from the community, so thanks for the feedback!

Ordered a shirt and I was able to submit my order with seconds to go (had to get bitUSD off the market). Any way to know if it went through?

Yes, your order was received.  Thanks!  :D
