I really thought those coins were lost until Fluxer555 contacted me. It took two sessions on Skype, and a very reasonable commission for Fluxer, and I'm back in business. Thanks SOOOOO much, Fluxer. Craziest part of it is that it turns out we live within 1/2 mile of each other. PM me, bro, and I'll treat you to that beer.

gratefully, crumb-bum

Technical Support / Re: trying to import private key into bishares 2.0

Hmm... "no unclaimed balances found." But I had about a bitcoin's worth of bitshares in there last time I looked 2-3 years ago. Plus, I should have received Notes and other assets through snapshots...

Can I do anything, or did I lose all of my bitshares by not checking in sooner?

I did try to import the private key and got the message "found key," but then nothing happened. What do I do now?

Hi. I haven't been inside my bitshares wallet in a few years. I'd like to import my privkey into bitshares 2.0 (mac), but I'm having difficulty. (The private key starts with a U, if that helps.) Please advise.

Chuckone, thanks for the intelligent reply. Yes, you make sense. I do think that there may be a way to set this up to reward faithful PTS holders while at the same time mitigating the insider-trading. What if the client calculated what percentage of days between releases you were in PTS and rewarded you with a corresponding number of shares in the next DAC?

You are deficient in logic and common courtesy, Chryspano, so I won't bother arguing with you.

I disagree. It's just a different paradigm. If people know that the snapshot could happen at any moment, then they will store their PTS in their wallet permanently. I don't see anything unfair in such an arrangement.

I disagree. If people know that the government would kill smokers , then people will stop smoking and we would all have a better health. I don't see anything unfair in such an arrangement.

Do you think that was a fair analogy, Chryspano? :)

People need to trade though...

:) So let 'em trade. But they should know that they risk missing out on a snapshot. Too funny.

Wouldn't it be much more healthy for the price of PTS to take snapshots on a surprise-basis? Because of the tides moving in and out of PTS around snapshot day, I feel like I am being compelled to trade in and out myself, but I'd much rather hold and not worry about PTS.
