What are we to do with the "include" folder in the .dmg?

Ignore it.

https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/releases/tag/bts%2F0.9.0-rc1

For those who are willing to help test and find any serious problems before the final release.

Short answer: there is no class documentation.

You also might have luck trying "use the Go to My Accounts menu item and enter your password in the pop-up dialog".

The wallet does not run on Mac 10.6 versions. I'm not sure about 10.7 which you have, but it is possible that it is also too old. Maybe another forum member can confirm if they can run the wallet on Mac 10.7 version?

Technical Support / Re: get_asset BTS shows transaction fee of 0?

That value will be renamed to "withdrawal_fee" and is intended to help UIA issuers to collect fees.

You can try command "wallet_account_vesting_balances <account_name>" to get current vesting details. Does it show your expected amount to be available?

Could you elaborate on on your analysis of stellar's consensus model?

Can't find the comparison, but basically, it's an instant confirmation based on quorums. In a way I view DPOS as a very special case of what Stellar has done.

https://www.stellar.org/learn/explainers/

And they also have big plans for decentralized exchanges, developers, API, etc. That said I don't know whether the exact implementation has centralized elements or not. Needless to say their whitepaper is a game changer and will change the landscape of crypto.

That said - BitShares could at some point implement their protocol - it is after all open source. At the very least an integration might be very beneficial.

Stellar is a clone of ripple.

I believe Stellar has recently been rewritten and is no longer (or soon won't be) a clone of Ripple.

WHOA now...didn't know this.

How has it changed?

Exceptions folder will be removed in next release.

Is the "active key not being regenerated" problem fixed in 0.8.1, or will I have to wait for BTS 0.9.0 to finally release? I've still been unable to regain access to my funds since this issue started.

I think the issue I'm having is https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/issues/1413 which is shown as closed, but I don't think it's been implemented in 0.8.1 yet...

Will be fixed in 0.9.

You can also try in top menu "Accounts -> Go to My Accounts" and try logging in that way.

I did have some crashes with the wallet and had to wipe out everything and reinstall it. Did I do something wrong ? Why shorts has changed and where is the big one missing ? Could I have delete the files where the shorts are saved ? Aren't they saved in the blockchain ?

If you restored from an old backup file you might need to try: http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/RecoveringFunds#Regenerate_account_transaction_keys
