2亿元收不到50%筹码,估计连20%都收不到。2000万砸进去,都能让价格翻个至少几十倍。

The data directory for Linux is ~/.BitSharesX

This contains the same data as the %AppData%\Roaming\Bitshares X directory in Windows.

On my windows, it's just %AppData%\Bitshares X,

%APPDATA% already goes to Roaming,

BitShares PTS / Re: PTS Snapshot problem with Cryptsy

very annoying.
if you are not up to date in this crypto world all the time you get ripped off.

i mean there was no notice at all in the beginning where i joined them and now they "steal" 5000 USD just like that.

Would be great if there are some other affected people so we might be able to put some pressure on them.

I don't think they are "stealing", they maintain hundreds of currency pair, much more than BTER does, I don't think they have enough man power to research each one. The recommended way to redeem for PTS is always hold them in your local wallet, otherwise you WILL miss out on some DAC distributions, even at BTER, it might not redeem some smaller DAC for you if it's not traded on their exchange.

Always remember, if you don't hold the private key, you are not the owner, and depends on what the exchange will "allow" you to own.

Well my bet was for 31/08 and obviously I lost it..I just hope it is not 31/08/2015...

I never despair..My confidence is still in BM and the team... I am buying cheap BTSX now... How low do you think it can go?

Waiting a year is just fine IMO. Even though LTC is a copy pasta trash coin nowadays, it still has a few years of history, and had stable value. I don't really expect a 2 month old product to overtake LTC so fast.

If I had learned anything from holding my Bitcoin for 3+ years, it's passive holding is better than active trading. I didn't sell when Bitcoin went from $32 -> $2, (bought at $11), was I screwed? I only had to wait 2 years to see my original investment go up 100X.

General Discussion / Re: How can the rules of BitshareX change?
« on: August 29, 2014, 02:51:45 pm »
Thanks for the answers.

So does it mean that Invictus makes all the decisions on the DAC toolkit and DAC Sun Ltd. is in control of the rules of BitshareX?
Let's take the example of the account registration fee change. It has been increased recently according to some of the forum posts. Who made that decision?
I'm not arguing about that particular decision just thinking about the future: there might be minor and major tweaks needed in the complex parameters of the system. Some of those might affect different participants and stakeholders differently.  Any thoughts how these decisions will be discussed with the shareholders? Do the stakeholders have any say/vote on those apart from selling their stocks?

You don't decide what goes on in Bitcoin development neither, why treat BTSX differently? Bitcoin transaction fee has changed at least 5 times in the past, I didn't get to vote on any of those changes. It's because the community mostly trust the Dev team to make good decisions, if you can't trust the Devs to make good decisions, you should either stay away from the eco-system or if you like the concept too much, just fork it and start your own eco-system.

I didn't ask this question to compare BTSX to Bitcoin. I do see the issues there. Neither I necessarily asked for voting.
I think the Bitshare(X) is a great concept and I do trust the devs, that's why I'm here :) We just need to think about these questions for several reasons (eg. gain trust from a wider community ). I don't think all these question should/can be addressed right now but discussions helps to form community consensus and create explicit answers for questions which can come up in any potential newbie like me.

(off topic side note: the transaction fee in bitcoin up to the client, isn't? Perhaps you referred to clients changing the default fee? Or is the fee up to the client with BTSX too?)

The default transaction fee in the official Bitcoin client is not easily changeable and is set by the Bitcoin Dev Team. You have to use a custom client to change the fee. Vast majority of Bitcoin users, pay the default fee.

The default fee in the BTSX client is changeable as of the current version I believe.

That's why it's called 0.4.9, not 1.x.x, the version number means it's alpha software. This has only released for 2 months, do you think Bitcoin was problem free 2 months after release? Bitcoin still had a messy accidental hard fork + nasty transaction malleability bug, 4 YEARS after release.

General Discussion / Re: Register account issue
« on: August 28, 2014, 07:45:41 pm »
I mean in general in to make it more convinient for new users who maybe not even know that they have to ask someone to send them some BTSX...

Also can you send to an unregistered account? Or only to a public key if the account is not registered yet?

I believe in the future, BTSX exchanges will take care of this step for you. (Basically you buy like 1 BTSX with fiat or BTC or whatever, and then once you have BTSX in the exchange, the exchange will provide the function to get you registered). Someone said Poloniex already has this function, I don't have an account there so I can't confirm.

Nope, I had zero problems redeeming my PTS for BTSX. Then again... I'm holding my PTS in my local wallet, like I'm suppose to.

Somewhere on your account page, it should tell you how long has your oldest BTSX has been inactive (and also how long do you have until a inactivity fee is charged), and maybe a convenient button to send 100% of the fund to yourself (minus the fee).
