Great work Fuzz.

One comment: #20 Merchant adoption should be replaced my User adoption.  Get the users by giving them a reason to hold, use and prefer bitUSD and the merchants will come.   If you put Merchant adoption before consumer adoption, you'll get stagnation just like with Bitcoin.

IMO the proper evolution should be:

1) User holding of bitUSD due to perceived value resulting from yield )
2) (Once sufficiently valuable), merchants attract this wealthy demographic by also accepting bitUSD (same as they are doing with bitcoin)
3) User Usage begins to be driven by merchant offers of products and services in bitUSD.

I respectfully disagree.  Bitcoin merchant adoption has been going very well, it's one of bitcoins biggest success areas.  It may be possible to piggyback on top of bitcoins work and be accepted by thousands of bitcoin accepting merchants all at once.  Definitely something to aim for!  User adoption is just the overall goal of the whole thing rather than a step on along the way.

Merchants accepting bitUSD need to be able to easily pay their employees + suppliers with it so they don't have to sell it.  Would some kind of integration with accounting software facilitate this, or could they just do it anyway?  What would be the barriers stopping merchants from paying their employees + suppliers with bitUSD? (other than lack of demand)

Voted!

Horray!  Things can begin.  :D

You missed your first block. Is your delegate up and running?

It missed a few more, looks like something needs fixing.  Will get this done asap.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Coinbase delegate?
« on: December 29, 2014, 06:03:20 pm »
I would vote for this, coinbase is worth a 100% delegate spot, and it's a great mutually beneficial relationship with the bonuses to their users.  The bigger the BitShares market cap grows the more + bigger bonuses they can pass on to their users.

I've never used coinbase, but they're more than just an exchange.  I wonder if bitUSD could be accepted by their merchants as part of the deal or whether that has to be enabled on the merchant end.

They could become a BitShares affiliate too once that's ready, earning for each user + merchant.

Also BitShares login should be enabled as part of the deal.

It might not be necessary to have a delegate elected and ready before BM talks to them (AFAIK he hasn't yet), but rather, have the idea firmly established and accepted in the community so he can present it to them.

General Discussion / Re: Full Pay Delegates for Gateways

Offer the gateway delegate pay on the condition they use it give discounts to users to make use of their new BitShares features, for a limited time, such as 1 year.

Another condition should be that the gateway enables BitShares login.

Just a quick thought but I am not seeing the angle here?

A exchange votes it's own delegate into power via our coins that it is holding. They then get to keep said funds free and clear.

How can we stop them from doing this or get them to use the funds for something other then a bigger profit margin?

lol the soy sauce thing is gold :)

BTC38 will hopefully be the only centralized exchange that ever trades BTS at any real volume. Wallets like coinbase/circle will be pitched bitassets, exchanges will be pitched gateways. Our priority should always be to have bitshares private keys are under direct control of the shareholders.

I'm not sure if that's the way to go, more exchanges trading BTS helps project from black swans as the feed price is the average of all the exchanges, so more exchanges = harder to crash BTS on all of them.  Plus its good just to have BTS available for purchase easily on as many places as possible, though maybe I haven't fully understood the benefits of being a gateway.

I'm here to get some soy sauce . 8)

Lol...I have no clue what that means, but that might make it even funnier.

Some actress got their naked sex picture taken by an actor and spread publicly .
The Chinese TV interviewed several passerby : How do you feel about this news event ?

One guy said : Hell , what do I have to do with it ? I'm just come to the store to get some soy sauce . (Literally, he was getting soy sauce) .

So, the phrase is to describe those who doesn't want to express their idea at this point , but just here to observe .

lol, the birth of a meme.

matt, you can include on the left side of the post your delegate, maybe this will help to get more attention. In fact anyone who is supporting you can do it. I did it with monsterer!

Done, thanks for the tip.

What if gateways passed on part of their delegate pay to their customers as some kind of bonus, or interest? Would there be any economic incentive to do this? Would there be any economic incentive to not hire and/or fire gateways that do this? Would this be a good or bad or neutral thing for BTS holders?

Yes, that's the way to do it.

Offer the gateway delegate pay on the condition they use it give discounts to users to make use of their new BitShares features, for a limited time, such as 1 year.

Should only be done for really big serious gateways such as bitstamp or coinbase, maybe kraken.  Smaller gateways could be grouped?

The problem is ensuring the gateway keeps the delegate position.  If there was a way to 'lock in' a vote for certain time period then deals like this could be made a lot more easily.

You are hopefully aware that with BTC38 share power, say could easily grab a delegate seat or more?

BTC38 could but other sites which don't yet trade BTS couldn't.  I'd only be in favour of it for really big gateways, and only 1 or 2 as that should be enough to initiate a snowball effect.
