I would have it in a personal wallet. The BTSX to BTS snapshot will be 1:1 and is being honored by BTER and BTC38.
-
same question here. But look like ssnapshot has nothing to do with btsx . Only future dac need to have snapshot for btsx
Should I withdraw my BTSX from exchange or do something?

@Bytemaster, Are you guys just going to hardfork the current BTSX blockchain or launch a brand new BTS genesis blockchain off the snapshot essentially leaving all BTSX worthless after the snapshot?
-
Anyone ask Poloniex and bittrex about honoring?

Send your shares to btc38 or bter imo.
Bter has announcements in the pages for the shares stating they will honor the snapshot and when it is occurring. Its very nice.

for BTSX users there will just be a client update .. renaming BTSX to BTS .. all trades .. all bitUSD will just continue to be there .. no major change ..
it's not really a hard "fork" .. more a hard "upgrade"

So the shorts need not be covered, sure? It is very important!

And pay a 1% withdrawal rate later to take out shares?

If every short has to be covered before the "airdrop" .. would result in the need for ALL bitUSD to be destroyed .. effectively killing the market ..
conclusion: Having the need to cover shorts will kill bitUSD in short term .. make investors angry and people lose money ..
conclusion2: There will surely be no need to cover your short position!! (due to the "merger"/ transition to the superDAC!)
further supportive indications: BTS will be just a software update to BTSX .. nothing more!
all bitAsset balances will be preseverd .. all open orders will be preserved .. no changes will be made to the market engine (unless bugfixes)

Bytemaster has confirmed that already.

From what you are saying, I presume it is a name change 'btsx' to 'bts'. Is that right?
-
That's my understanding .. yea ..
-
Just a name change... BTSX and BitAsset holder have nothing to do.

Can you confirm that shorts do not need to be covered prior to the upgrade?
Confirmed.. BTSX users have nothing to do prior to the upgrade..

Please confirm that those of us who have not yet claimed the BitsharesX we are entitled to based on AGS donations can wait and simply claim Bitshares instead once the conversion happens.

For BTSX holders .. nothing changes .. except the program to use :) It's the SAME blockchain ..with a new name ..
short: you can wait this one out and claim later ...
